That party was incredible.

Menno De Jong's set absolutely blew me away.

I was up in Sky Bar for most of Ferry's set and it started out good but droned on after an hour or so until people were barely moving and looked like zombies. People up front were yelling at the DJ to pick it up.
Thankfully we ed off Sky Bar and hit KH in time for Menno

You're right. I left Kool Haus and Ferry to go up to Sky Bar.

Got there early and had a chance to see some old faces. Niceeee!

Caught Joee at skybar for a bit, then came to KH for Cosmic Gate...not bad. Headed for Hawtin and was pretty impressed. I totally luv it when a dj can skip the fluff and gets you to the meat and potatoes without missing a beat. Only it got too hot.

Who kept my undivided attention --> F E R R Y C O R S T E N

IMO you are either an unconditional Ferry Fan or you aren't.

For Me...Ferry is still my music god!

I loved his set. Not one disappointment with Ferry at all. He gave me the fix I needed and Barber's Adagio almost brought tears to my eyes.

My only disappointment was with the sound system at the KH. OMG...it was totally pissing me off at how bad it was. If anyone would have been hearing Ferry for the first time, it would have totally left them with a NOT SO awe struck impression.

Honestly the Guv/KH has to get their act straight or WE need another venue for dj's like Ferry, Armin, Tiesto, Lawler etc. A new place where they care about how the dj sounds. I think at the number of ppl that showed up over the years, they've made sufficient amount of money to invest in a better sound system. I'd even be glad to see the gogo dancers go in exchange for better sounds.

Someone find us a better venue with a good sound system. The PA sounded so bad and you couldn't even make out a word of what she sang. Good thing I know the words by heart.

KH Review
Ferry: 10/10
Lights: 8/10
Heat Factor:6/10
Less Sketchy People aka Atmosphere: 7/10 (yay this is a first in a long time)
Sound System: 2/10 (Way to go Guv/KH for ruining such a great set)

MY only disappointment with Ferry
I would of loved to have had 8 or 10hrs of his best...but I'll take every little bit I can get.

We Luv Ya Ferry....and the turnout is how we show it.

Did no one else like Menno's set as much as I did?

Yup...you might be right on that.

I only liked his opening but it got too meh for me, so I left.

^ meh.

Gotta agree about system though - wtf? I used to be such a fan of trance in KH, now it sounds as bad as the main room - bass WAY too high, impossible to hear any lyrics (especially during the PA)

I moved in and out and around the area in between the speakers - no difference whatsoever, still the same distorted sound. After a weekend at Footwork with its excellent sound, my ears were bleeding last night :(

Damn, well at least I had a good time.
Wish he recorded the set so I could hear it again.

No I liked it as well and I was sober. Had I also been ed up I probably would've liked it more and lasted past 6:15.

I'm not a FC fan and although I only got into KH when he was playing punk the last few tracks really didn't do anything to change my opinion of him. I find his sound a little dated.

Menno played the dark melodies and smoother trance that i like. Maybe its just slower?

The sound in KH last night wasn't the best but I definitely wouldn't say it was distorted. Maybe not balanced perfectly but I never experienced any "ears bleeding" moments.
