AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Don't even get me started on this subject! I served and was a bartender for years, so ty service really pisses me off. And we tip generously, too! If it's a restaurant we go to often and we have a regular server, we'll tip somewhere between 20 and 30%. Bad service, I leave 10% to prove a point. And it takes a LOT to get me to do that - because I know the trials of being a waitress.
This last time we went to Captiva on vacation, we were so stoked to go to a specific restaurant for breakfast because we loved it so much the last time we were there. We get there and there was a wait (no biggie) - we finally get to our table and the chick comes up, doesn't say hi or anything and is like "what do you want", we give her our order and she stomps off. Well, I had ordered a side, a croissant, to go with my meal. Another chick brings me my breakfast, MINUS the croissant. We were DONE with our food before our waitress ever came back - drinks empty and everything. Then she comes back and I'm like uh, I didn't get the croissant... she goes "ok" and charges me for ANOTHER one and then I'm like "whatever... how long does it take to get a piece of bread, it'll be like a few seconds". I watcher her do ALL of her sidework (cutting lemons, stacking cups, cleaning the kitchen) before she brings me the damn roll. I'm like REALLY, come on how long does it take for you to get a GODDAMN piece of bread!?!??! I wasn't even hungry anymore but it was the point that I wanted it. We left her barely 10% which sucked for her since our total came out to be like $16. Normally we would have left like $22 and told her to keep the change but not this time. ing bitch. :mad: |

Well that is amazing ,im suprised people apply for these jobs , unless the tipping can really bump it up.Seems pointless otherwise. |
