ID&T & Q-Dance are the same company you know. Just marketed to different audiences. |

I think what Insomniac doesn't do in the realm of a "different" stage set up, as they do in those festivals, they make up in the other things they do in making it a "carnival" with having all these weird-looking cirque-de-soleil people roaming around and making the party a trip for people. Look at Ultra this year, they went balls out and had HUGE production on all fronts for the stages/domes this year (not "different" tho, just big, which was still really good IMO). It was awesome, but they NEVER have the type of ambiance that any of the Insomniac massives do.
Yea, it would be cool to see a crazy towering stage that looks like one of the one's at Sensation, Mysterland, etc, but I think it's still pretty cool to see all the other things that they do. You don't see any art installations at those other festivals (burning man statues, light cube, that tank-robot thing they had last year etc). As one of those that travels to these massives, I've got to say that the way insomniac gets a massive together is above any other here in the US.
As far as what they're doing this year w/the VIP, yea it kinda sucks, was looking forward to getting trashed on Fri haha, but oh well. What they should do is at least offer discounted drinks for those in the VIP. ie, you run out of your 7 drinks, now you can buy drinks at $5 (vs the $10-12 they charge at the outside bars). That way they make a marginal profit and still maintain some sort of benefit for the VIP ppl. |

| Would be cool to see a rotating stage set in the middle of the coliseum. |

| Yea i know ID&T is QDance. Love both productions but the QDance stage always is top notch. Not that the others are not though. ID&T/Qdance in general is my pick for best event promoters. ANd yea they DO decorate. It always looks festive. From colored circus tent decoration entrances to even decorating the light posts. Sure they dont have random art around but i hate that. Not sure why the US uses that as decor. Too burning man for me. |

| how about something festival worthy with matchups. They added tyas and patterson - how about a vs. Or J00F with DB? Or live vocals. etc. Thats another thing missing with festivals in the US. They are supposed to be more then a club night outdoors. Having Swedish House Mafia works but not much else for pairings. And if Jes shows up she doesnt count - she is terrible and is booked everywhere haha.Aruna is from LA, look into her as a guest vocalist. |
