Gareth emery would be amazing in the coliseum, but as much as we beg I know insomniac wont put him up. Most people in socal have no idea who Gareth is, they're into Benni Bennasi and other mainstream electro ******s.

This was the very reason why I almost didn't buy my ticket. If Insomniac is going to water down the events, appeal to the non-EDM masses, and mix genres on the same stage, then the least they can do is make sure each of the individual stages has a good flow/progression. mixing psy-trance (J00F) with the more dreamy progressive trance of Emery and going back to psy (CL) is crazy. Simon Patterson closing out would be heaven - i'll be surprised if Insomnic does Tyas then Patterson since neither is as high on the DJ 100 as the others and they seem to be appealing to the masses, not us.

I'm cool with moving gareth to the main stage. JOOF before tyas, pleeease!

You know those massives when you're really f'ed up but you somehow just remember that one moment in time? I distinctly remember the MASSIVE DROP AND BASS during bulldozer at MM07? And Judge Jules Infinity MM08. I wish this were indoors for acoustics purposes.

maybe benasty will slip and fall on his way to the stage and we can all be happy?

just out of curiosity, i know this is "tranceaddict", but i wanna know how many of us on here find the electro/indie/nu rave scene to be a complete and total god-awful waste of space at EDC? i know thats what all the stupid kids are into but come on, do we really need that much of this music at EDC? why no techno/minimal? does anyone in california listen to that kind of music? thank god we have three decent stages on saturday, but friday i don't really want to go to any of the other stags but mainstage. why so much electro crap?

this is horrible, look how many ty acts are crammed onto that stage, some with only 45 minute sets? is that because they blow so hard, they can barely string together a couple of tracks with out running out of material? i swear, if i see steve aoki crossing the street after the party, i WILL NOT BREAK for him!

how would you like this ordered exactly? i wouldn't be surprised if simon and sean played b2b like they did for trance energy rather than had their own individual sets.

My personal vote for Neon stage would be as follows:

Aly & Fila (opening)
Gareth Emery
Christopher Lawrence
JOOF
Sean Tyas
Simon Patterson (closing)

I know it's not perfect, and putting Gareth lower on the lineup is kinda hard to justify from a DJ 100 fame perspective. Gareth is very progressive and happy trance, so I put him earlier. I put JOOF ahead of CL becaues JOOF plays harder and less straight up psy trance (at least the times i've seen him). For me, I want the music to get harder and more intense and more energy. That's why I'd take Patterson over AVB (3 minute breakdown no bass = buzz kill) any day to close out a massive.

I would ordinarily say there's no way that Insomniac would let Simon close, but maybe they're throwing a bone to the OG's who are upset with Will.i.am and cheesy benassi playing mainstage. housey/electroey/indie/hip hopey is the trend unfortunately.
