It's gonna be hard for me, because I don't really know what pricing is like in the US for stuff like that.
Maybe look at getting a second hand Canon 20D body, and some kind of decent lens with it? It's a good camera (I used to own one).
I guess it depends of the sort of photography she likes to do, as to what sort of lens to look for.
If you don't like the idea of ebay for this stuff, then check out the second hand sections of Adorama and B&H. Both are big, well reputed companies, that I've purchased from in the past.
Let me know if you need help with what sort of lens to get, but definitely look at getting something with image stabilisation. Worth its weight in gold. |
