If America wanted to stop this war, they could have, just drop some of the big ones on that desert area, and no one will know... the smart bombing doens't help anymore, they;re hiding in a place were these bombs don't go. Just do some neutrons or so, it's inhumane, but they're asking for it...
And i don't think this video is from the gov, there would be no use to do so.
And hell yeah Bush is a , just read the ones in the one-liner thread...the guy has an IQ about 75 i guess... |

That is probably one of the most misinformed and senile statements ive heard throughout this whole discussion. So, if the US decides to suddenly become a charity then all of a sudden every regime with an "evil" (for lack of a better word) propoganda will throw down their guns, disable their nuclear weapons, and we'll all be one big happy family, right? Excuse me if I'm wrong, but I didn't see any Afghani individuals hijacking planes. The US shells out billions every year to help out in third-world nations, but what you're proposing is proposterous. |

i cant remember the last time i heard a news story about canada spending billions of dollars to help third world countries. are you saying america is supposed to go feed every starving child thats out there? why is that america's responsibility more than it is YOUR country's: canada's, or england, or germany, or any other?
i love people who bash america because usually their sentiments are that we should be helping others more.. while sitting in the comfort of their own non-american country who usually arent doing anywhere near what this country does to help people. its totally hypocritical. |

well, we should all help out, as much as we can. Canada does give millions in foreign aid. maybe not the billions that the US gives out, but, in comparison to GDPs, and population, of course the US can afford to spend more. and they do spend more, i'm not sure the per capita numbers but maybe i will look it up.
but, now, aid is one thing. actively dropping bombs on a country, and spreading propaganda encouraging and legitimizing this is what i take issues with.
that's what i don't like about american foreign policy, the killing. |

that's because mr Bush likes us to think so...I'm from Holland, and i can tell you, we have the highest percentage of foreigners living here, from coutries where they are economically or politically threathened. We also spend a very great amount of money on development aid, but because the usa is like 19 times bigger (by population, not even surface), that amount may seem a little bit... |

war kills no matter what ...but ever think about the killing is there no matter if the americans too action or not...thousands of peopel die every day in these countries cuz of there dictatorships.. iraq people are starving while Saddam cashs in the money..and when people are volnerable and your leader tells u well its americans fault hate them which is taught there from a early age to kids that americans are the cause of there hungry and there suffering when in fact is just a form of them getting his own people off his back ....suddam and iraq isnt a poor country but for some reason there people are starving ....... there is ton of bad governments in the middle east that the leaders of there government use probaganda agaist USA for there benifit... so they can cash in the money and tell the people that its americans fault why they are so poor and have no resources......Saddam also during the gulf war ... he would put women and kids in areas where he knew americans would think he stayed...so americans would bomb and women and kids would die so he could use it agaist the americans.....so for us to come in there and actually try to over throw these goverments that treat there own people like and i dont see what the fuss is about
but then again americans are considered the most evil country to most people on this board and many countries ... i guess we could totally cut our selfs out of the world... in reality we wouldnt need any other country to support us ..we are one of the only countries that could full support our selfs..i mean mayb we should just cut out dont do trade with anyone ...we have enough oil to support us here,agriculture,technology,etc..... but the fact is if americans stopped trade with the world ...you would be in deep problems...did you know we grow 75% of the worlds food!!....if it wasnt for us China would starve including many other countries like russia,etc.... but its no matter what the americans would do it wouldnt ever be right enough ..cuz americans have a world power and world powers will always be looked as ..as evil.. no matter what its for some reason the world wants everything from us but we have no say in anything and if we do we get looked down apon in the national community ....and evertime a convo comes in here about the war ..the talk is 100% more on the american wrong dueing ..and hardly anything about the alqueda or taliban or saddam but hey after the sept11th i argued a ton on this bored with people cuz it pissed me off to see how many peple truely hate americans ...but hey everyone is intitle of there opinion im just in a point now where i could care less anymore... but i know the government isnt perfect and probably is currupt but ever government is its just what government would u rather live in ..but i do support the us government cuz of the most part im happy to be living in this country |

so what youre basically saying is we "got what we deserved", and thousands of innocent people deserved to die because of our foreign policies (which included helping the taliban defeat russia a number of years back). that's excellent logic, truely magnificent. :whip: :mad: :whip: |

no you ing ignorant stupid yankee , I merely stated that americas disgusting and frankly unfair foreign policies are the reason why so much of the middle east hate them, so where the did you get me saying that those people deserved to die ?
I didn't 'basically' say anything so put your brain into gear first wit, by the way have any of you thought about why Bush is declaring war on Iraq ? Bear this in mind,
During the elections Bush was funded by large corperations such as oil industrys, these are serious players which are so big that i'm sure you and I couldn't begin to imagine what sort of influence they have on world affairs..
Look at a map of where major pipelines run through the middle eastern countrys, strange that iraq is in the way of oil going to and from American occupied areas, wouldn't it be convienient if there were pipelines running through Iraq as well..
