I just read this article on some new Al Qaeda tapes that have been brought back to America. This just made me sick. I know they have no respect for human life but when they start on animals too this really is just taking the piss
taken from http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=sto..._chemical_tests
| quote: | In one tape's early frames, a white Laborador-like dog, wearing a green ribbon, is sleeping in a small room. A man wearing typical Afghan clothing, and without protective gear, drops something on the concrete floor and leaves quickly.
As a white liquid oozes across the floor and a vapor fills the lower part of the room, the dog sits up, alert, apparently sensing danger. In the next frames, the dog begins licking its mouth, salivates and sneezes.
The dog then tries standing; its head shakes violently, and its breathing quickens. Its hind legs appear to collapse. Seconds later, the dog falls and struggles to stand. Unable to control its front legs, it wimpers and moans. Then the dog appears to vomit. Its moan becomes a piercing wail.
The dog then seems to have trouble breathing. Its tail is all that moves as the screen goes blank.
A second later, the video replayed the first scene, of the dog's exposure to the gas, then jumped ahead, documenting the subsiding of its cries.
Finally, one of the dog's hind legs shoots up in the air, as its head goes down. It then lies motionless. |

Dude, thats not just cruelty to animals, its showing that the Al Qaueda has possession of very dangerous chemical/biological weapon/agents that can potentially harm human life.
Bottom line: Those fukking sons of bitches :whip: :whip:

well.. my guess is that america has figured out that people are starting to no longer support the war. peaceloving hippies, who have nice doggies especially. it's been almost a year, and innocent people in afghanistan are still dying from american bombs.
so, i think these tapes were manufactured by the US govt, to incite more hatred against al qaeda.
this is just a guess of mine, who knows if it is true. i certainly don't. but, i do know the USA has been guilty of a lot worse lies than this would be. |

Okay no-one flame JohnSmith he's just your regular joe, err.. john, whatever posting his opinion.
But the truth is that the US has done some Dodg-ee propaganda in the past, and although they've probably abondoned most of their half assed schemes (like having a picture of martin luther king in a meeting and the caption say "MLK in a secret communist meeting") <- it's true they did that!
Although I'd believe the video's real, but WHY would the US government show that ffs, there's no point in making the gap between US and afghanistan bigger, it's bad enough as it is. It might as well be propaganda considering they're releasing it.
If US helped out afghanistan in the first place S11 might have never happened. Please no flaming! :nervous:
btw, Bush, You're a ! |

consumer products are tested on animals every day. I have taken tours of animal research labs where they test productes before they hit the shelves. Its horrible, I saw hundreds of animals suffering in their cages. they said that sometime the test go on for weeks.
where i went they were testing soaps and shampoos and stuff like that. Can you imagine what the animals that have new medicines tested on them go through?
I saw the commercials for that CNN report and i couldnt believe the hype around it. |

ummmm, This is CNN that showed this report, not "the goverment" the US goverment has no control over what CNN shows.
And i wouldnt exactly say that the US has lost support for their war on terrorism, i think its exactly the oppisite |

yes, the USA has done this before, many, MANY a time.
wars in this era are waged, with guns, and missiles, and even chemicals. but even more powerful than that, are IDEAS. if you can get someone, or an entire nation, to believe your point of view, they will fight to the death for you, with whatever weapon you tell them is best.
why do you think that the first target that america took out in afghanistan was al-jazeera headquarters? (al-jazeera is a widely respected eastern newspaper with millions of readers worldwide, including thousands in the USA.) the US said it was a "mistake" that they sent 10 cruise missiles into a civillian building.
as for war sentiments? well.... I've been saying it's time to pull out of afghanistan for 6 months. and the antiwar movement has been growing. you haven't seen it, because it hasn't been on the news much, because george doesn't want you to hear the jangling dischords of dissent.
and finally.. there is no distinction between CNN and the government. they are one and the same, CNN is only the broadcasting arm of the US government.
i know the wool keeps your eyes warm, but take a look sometime.
you know what's the saddest part? I would be afraid to talk like this in america, because they might attack me. who are the real bad guys? |

| John, i have to agree with u in most part of your argument. It seems our perceptions on how politics have evolved and how the world is really managed partially coincide. |
