by the way have any of you thought about why Bush is declaring war on Iraq ? Bear this in mind,
During the elections Bush was funded by large corperations such as oil industrys, these are serious players which are so big that i'm sure you and I couldn't begin to imagine what sort of influence they have on world affairs..
Look at a map of where major pipelines run through the middle eastern countrys, strange that iraq is in the way of oil going to and from American occupied areas, wouldn't it be convienient if there were pipelines running through Iraq as well..
Think about it :nervous: |
first off, very astute observation that this is all about oil. The US would LOVE to lay a pipeline through Iraq, it would be very profitable for them.
in fact, it would also be very profitable to lay a pipeline through afghanistan (there are rich oil fields in turkmenistan and tajikistan), and some people have been so bold as to suggest that america might even have engineered sept 11th simply to provide an excuse to go into afghanistan and build a pipeline.
now.. i can hear you screaming BULL and getting the :whip:'s already.
i do NOT believe this. killing dogs is one thing, i don't think america would kill 3000 of it's own people.
however, it is a theory worth mentioning.
second. please mos man, there is no need for swearing and flaming. this is serious topic, and i hope it does not get shut down. |

unlike mos man, who feels the need to try to be derogatory towards americans in his responses to them.
yes, i am referring to this:

mos man: heres a thought.. if you want someone to have an intelligent conversation with you, dont be such a jackass and call them names like this, which only accomplishes in pissing off other people from that country too (such as me.)
this is exactly why i have such a pet peeve about country bashing. yanno mos man, i could find out what country you are from, and bring up all sorts of choice names to describe you... but, i dont. why? because its futile. the actions of a country's leader is not indicative of all of its people, and their feelings. part of the reason why these conversations bother me is because people feel the need to personally attack each other, like they should have to answer for the actions of their country. i hope you all realize how ridiculous this makes you look if you choose to do so. we can discuss countries, and their actions.. but the moment you begin to point fingers at people and make it personal, that is when the intelligent discussion is over, and the childish "MY DAD CAN BEAT UP YOUR DAD" type of argument starts to happen. again, its annoying, and accomplishes zero, except making people defensive for something they shouldnt need to be defensive about, the country of their birth (or the country that they live in).
sorry folks, i cant walk down to the white house today and say "please sir, change your foreign policy".. so stop acting like i can, with your comments. stop making it personal. keep it civil. only then can we have a realistic conversation.
(btw, thanks for that, ampburner ^_^) |

Why not ? When it boils down to the basics and you have things like the bloody oil companies pulling the strings do you really think they care about loss of life ?

1. Well when you have silly tossers who cannot read and interpret a simple one line response I tend to get slightly pissed off..
2. Although I and many others know full well how much of a moronic fool Bush is I also feel this applies to much of Americas population as well and I have done for many years mainly due to alot of Americas people being uneducated, stupid and small minded.
Maybe you find it hard to fathom but for an outsiders view (much like my own) all we see of America is a Nation of idiots who don't seem to know much about whats happening overseas and don't particularly care.
and next time mind your own business cos all you do is ing moan on these forums, you are already doing it in the Pubic Hairs thread I made.. |

I do agree about the last part though, it does seem that way. But I have to say, not living there, I have no way of knowing how much thruth there is to that image....quite a number of Americans on this forum keep confirming it though :(

nope, i can fathom it just fine. my point is, if you want to have a respectful, intelligent conversation with someone, you cant throw those same assumptions on the people you are trying to debate with. all that does it make you look like an .

im sorry if you feel like me expressing my opinions is "moaning". perhaps what i say is too much over your head for you to understand it. ive found that on tranceaddict, there are two types of people that i get responses from in threads or in pm's. those who like my responses, since they are usually well thought out and intelligent, and those who dislike them. generally these people tend to be underage boys who dislike me telling them they need to think less with their penis. often, these people are not used to posting on a board where people have any opinions other than the norm, and they cant handle when occasionally what the person with the unique opinions are said is correct. shrug.
in any event, this is a public forum, smart fellow. and NEWSFLASH: thus when you post, you leave yourself open to compliment or criticizm by anyone who reads it. i can express my opinion anytime i like, whenever i like, unless swamper tells me otherwise. as far as your thread, i dont see what the you are talking about. how am i "moaning" in your thread? i have been contributing to it talking about how i choose to shave... kindly pull your head out of your ass and get your facts straight before you attempt to flame me again. |
