It's amazing how quickly this sig has spread. Normally i have great disdain for alliances, but this time i was actually moved. I'm curious, just how many Peace Addicts are there? |

| i dont understand this stupid sentence: war is no solution. u cant talk to saddam like to every other president or country leader. thats the problem. war is the only solution in iraq to solve the problem. the only question is: Is it really necessary to disarm them and to force the Iraq to change the regime? |

The answer to your question is no, war is not neccesary.
Saddamn was contained. He was destroying what meager weapons he had. He was complying. Inspectors asked for more time, and were ordered out by the US. |

hmmm...his people were dying because of sanctions imposed to 'contain' him. he appeared to be complying but why did it take 12 years?
that being said im not pro war, but saying that peace is the only solution is to completely ignore a whole other side of life. competition will always lead you to conflict or when its lacking, stagnation| |

What I meant was that war is and will never be a solution. You can't solve problems by resorting to violence. As JohnSmith already said, there were also other possibilities to solve this problem. |
