Why Athiesm is false!

Let us all put out intelligent caps on and think above the normal level, as I explain why Athiesm is not only false, but crumbles entirely just by its meaning.
As we all know an Athiest believes there is no God or all-knowing/supreme being. Yet they cannot hold this position dogmatically. For a person to be able to make this type of statement with authority, he would have to know the universe in its entirety and to possess all knowledge. If someone could possibly know all this, then by definition he would be God.
Since this Athiest is not all-knowing, he cannot make a dogmatic statement on God's existence. He can only state he is uncertain whether or not there is a God, and this view is called agnosticism. (If you want, I will tell you why this view is also found wanting) Thus, it is proven, that the claim God does not exist crumbles under examination |

| (just out of the spur of the moment), but if we figured out the String Theory, and could decipher every peice of the universe, couldn't then religion be destroyed, as athiests would have the almighty equation to know everything about everything... |

n.
One who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods. |
thats the actual definition
if the definition was something along the lines of 'one who knows there is no god' then it'd work
but its not
good observation tho, had me for a sec, even tho i knew something wasn't right |

both statements that god doesn't exist and that he does are fals, they're a paradox.

I believe in God myself but however all I think that your statement proves is that we cannot prove that God doesn't exist...
Likewise, I don't think we can prove the existance of God
I see it more of a choice... God presents Himself with evidence of His existence in the world through things like His creation and just the wonder and marvels of this world... That is what fascinates me so much about God... He wants you to follow Him, but He gives you the choice to follow...
I find the reason that people do not believe is not because of evidence, but rather the willingness to just put away all their critical rationality for a second and just believe and have faith...
If God could be proven, then a) there would be no God, or b) the world is perfect...
Just my thoughts |

You can logically prove god doesn't exist, at least using jewish/catholic dogma.
You cannot prove he does exist without faith/believe being in the middle.
Dogmatically sustaining atheism:
God is almighty. God is potency and action. (That is to say: it can do it, thus does it).
As it's almighty, it has potency to kill itself, thus does it: no god anymore.
If it cant kill itself, then it isn't almighty. So it isn't god.
Conclusion: there can't be a god around.
Jewish/catholic dogmatic theology has discussed this issue for ages, to no avail.
Anyway it's just byzantine discussions...
/me thinks: If you believe in god you're a believer. If you believe not, you're a believer too. |

| Or you could just realize that your whole "argument" has no real meaning... Come on, that doesn't really prove/disprove , it's like one of those tricks your 5th grade teacher would show you, trying to prove 2 + 2 != 4. |

Let us all put out intelligent caps on and think above the normal level, as I explain why Theism is not only false, but crumbles entirely just by its meaning.

If someone could possibly know all this, then by definition he would be God.
Since this theist is not all-knowing, he cannot make a dogmatic statement on God's existence. He can only state he is certain there is a God, and this view is called faith. (If you want, I will tell you why this view is also found wanting) Thus, it is proven, that the claim God does exist crumbles under examination |

Right. So I can't say "unicorns don't exist" or "WW2 didn't end in 1947" because I don't know the entire state of the universe at any given time? Either we can say things are false or we can't: if we can then we can say God doesn't exist, if we can't then we don't actually know anything. Which is it?
You cannot prove "negative" ontologies, you can only disprove "positive" ontologies. Atheists don't need to prove God doesn't exist (for, like anything else that doesn't exist, it cannot be done) theists need to prove God does exist. We were all born atheists (it's the default perspective), so what piece of knowledge led you to to the positive ontological stance that God does exist? |
