mindblowing opening ceremonies!!! wowowow! mindblowing!
a tear of joy almost made it out of my left eye :p
p.s. Every musical performance was pre-recorded, the musicians and bjork were just lip synching and pretend to play their instruments.
i wouldn't be surprised that Tiesto had everything pre-recorded and ready to go, can you imagine the organizers not listen to what he would play in advance and approve it? |

that was kind of pathetic...Mansbridge and Williams have a script in front of them containing the most obscure references ever...but Tiesto is refered to as a "Greek DJ" who won a "contest" for the last two years? WTF...lame.
A small group of us still sat around drinking bear and watched the *entire* opening ceremonies though...Tiesto was fun...the ceremony looked great...imagine being there, the music, no annoying announcers chiming in...great party, lol. |

Dude, there is nothing to it..
They show Tiesto for a total of hm... 6-7 seconds and mention him once throughout the broadcast, saying that he is Greek. You can somewhat hear the music over voice commentary, but often it's "lost in the words", so to speak.
Just pop Just Be into your CD player and be happy - it's a good approximation of show's musical content :D |

Tiesto's music + productions === highly irritating/annoying (when it comes to my own personal tastes in music)! I could care less about pretty much anything that has to do with him. In short he is NOT FOR ME.
BUT I still have to give respects to him. Any party that i've ever been to with him spinning has had the CRAZIEST of PARTY vibes. And seeing a DJ spin last nights opening ceremonies was just too ing cool, never thought i'd see something like that happen. Hopefully it wont be the last time we see a DJ do something like this.
Good for him. That was HUGE!

| Great to see Tiesto out there.. what a rush that must have been for him! Played some sick tracks, but the commentary made on him was just awful... "top dj in the world" and then they went on to say they didn't even know there were such competitions?? WTF, like why say anything at all then? OR GET IT RIGHT |
