I love this post... it's just so agonizingly true about Canadian commentators, they think someone gives a damn about what they have to say. Just let the music flow!

You won't REALLY see him during the ceremony though, everyone will be watching the athletes comming out and etc - meaning the cameras will be on them so we won't see that much of the man.

i don't know if you ever watched the openning ceremonies and the walk of nations, but there is a lot of opertunity to see the musicians. if you couldn't see them, why would he rehearse and why wouldn't they just play a CD every olympics?

Because it's an honor for you to participate in an event like that...and you still get mentioned and exposure...We will see him for sure many times but it won't be like TIC or something...I mean they will concentrate on the athletes first and foremost, and once in a while switch to the performers.

Stupid North American mentality? WTF!

Do you know what "street cred" refers to? Essentially what the underground and what people with their ear to the ground (street) think about a particular artist. The edge so to speak before he/ she gets laughed out of existence by those "in the know".

Personally I think Tiesto should of been "laughed out of existence" years ago with those horribly tacky shirts. BRUTAL!

Going by your logic, Judge Jules should of been banned to Siberia back in 97.
