They are getting paid MILLIONS of dollars to play a game. I think they should be allowed to have some fun if thats what they want to do. I know I'd be out there everyday with a smile on my face and trying to make my teammates do the same thing. |

yea remember all the stuff I said a couple of posts ago about last years Marlins and the Oakland A's from the 70s having a fun personality that brings the team together, I have no problem with that.
My post said that the media loves these redsox cause not only are they different but their weird as hell , thats why they get the attention plus their fans are pathetic morons who believe in curses so it adds to the drama.Unlike the other teams i mentioned these red sox are more of a joke. |

Why would Red Sox fans bring up the curse? It's the media and Yankee's fans. You're starting to sound as bad as Dj Smitty20. Are there any Yankee fans that can argue with factual information rather than calling the Red Sox and their fans idiots? Any "pathetic moron" as you say, can do that. Give me a reason to make an informative post rather than to point out inconsistencies. |

first of all when did i ever say i was a yankee fan .right after the cubs and redsox thats the team i hate.
2nd of all oh please that whole curse of the bambimo crap is a product of both red sox and yankee fans together,Ive heard both of the teams fans talk about it constantly, personally i think its crap.Am I saying all you guys talk about it , of course not.But there alot of people that do.
3rd your team just won game 4 big woop, lets see if you can win 3 straight haha.
and by the way dont accuse me of not having factual info, I was the one who pointed out that wakefield would struggle as a reliever against the yeankees and other stuff,Im not a "DJ Smitty" .I even made fun of the guy cause of a weak red sox joke.I suggest you read my posts I nver talk in a "your team sucks, nobody can beat us" way. |

| 2-2, and to think the Astros were out of it with a month to go! The killer bees are always a worry, tonights game is quite crucial, the winner could take it all! |

I mean sheesh man youve been kissing their ass and to hear you talk like this haha.Wheres your Braves sig ;) I thought it was all bout the the division titles :stongue:
everything you said was right on the money though. |
I am still a Braves fan (as long as Schuerholtz is the manager and Bobby Cox the skipper), but they were just plain horrible this post-season. I am impressed they lost in 5 games, but I'd prefer if they lost in 4, only if that meant that they performed better. The two wins they had against Astros were absolutely lucky. Turner needs to put some money in the team again.
Secondly, OH MY GOD. Why cant we all accept the existence of the Curse of Bambino? I mean, come on, what do you think - is it a coincidence Red Sox manage to make countless STUPID mistakes against the Yankees in the playoffs for the past 80 years? Like last year's monumental Game 7 collapse. Or this year's Schilling game 1 shelling on an injured ankle. Why OH Why? Why?????? Getting pounded 19-8 should at least motivate Bosox to maybe may the series go to 7 games, but the road to the World Series will go through the Yankee Stadium. The Yankee pitching has really IMPRESSED me this postseason, expecially this series. Who would've thought Messina would have a perfect game tthrough 6 innings? WWhy were the Red Sox considered the favourites coming into this series?
Thirdly, lets give a loud round of applause to the Houston Astros. Before this season, they played a total of 42 seasons, of which 23 with winning records; went 0 for 7 in playoff series, including 0 for 3 vs. Braves. So why did I pick them to beat my own favourite team? Look at the Killer Bees and their starting rotation. Maybe they can top the Cardinals, who knows? It will all be up to their improving bullpen - but they wont be able to do it with just their closer. |

| There is no such thing as a curse. If there was, the Rangers wouldn't have won the Stanley Cup in 1994. And they were ACTUALLY hexed by someone. Not just a silly trade. |

If you people don't believe in curses and ghosts, you might want to start believing in them now. Scary, scary, scary stuff. |
Hahaha, once again, what did I say in my previous post??? :stongue: |

Well, 50 years is a lot of time in NHL (Rangers last previous Cup win was 1954 I think). I think that STILL stands as the longest Cup drought by an NHL team, am I correct? I am pretty sure that if you put a lot of money in the team, like Rangers did, spoiling the salaries of players from that point in time, you can get results. So my point is, maybe in another 50 years or so, Red Sox will finally put together a PERFECT team and win the friggin World Series. Red Sox do not hold the longest World Series title drought, you know. All the Red Sox legends will then resurrect and go to Fenway park and celebrate ... You know, Halloween ... May I live to see the day ... Boston will be a city of love, the happiest city in the world, every Red Sox player on that winning team will be forever remembered ... kids in Boston schools will be taught to memorize the team roster by heart in order to pass high school ... blablablabla ...
EDIT: Red Sox are facing elimination, tied 4-4 in the 11th ... will there be another Red Sox home run to win the game?
