so far im 6-6. i wouldnt have minded being wrong about the twins beating the yanks yesterday but i just thought that there was no way that they were going to lose after getting shutout the night before.

my predicions for today are:
Houston and St. Louis (i think the cardinals are going to sweep the dodgers)

I'm hoping it breaks down like this..
AL
yanks over twins
boston over anaheim

boston over yanks
NL
houston over braves
cards over dodgers

cards over houston

WS
boston over cards
TweeK
Houston Astros

Why>?

15+ game winning spree:eek:

This is there year:D
Romp
Red Sox!

All you bandwagon jumping Red Sox lovers will have to get through the Yankees first. Sure, Boston might seem to have the edge this year, but the mental barrier in getting past the Yanks will have an effect. Even if they do beat NY, they'll still have to get through the Cards or Astros...and even if they DO win the World Series, that will be only once in the last 80 years.

Get over it...Boston teams and fans are losers.:D

I'm not making predictions, I'm just looking at who I want to win!

Anyway thursday was 2-for-2 for me again :p

So if the Red Sox win this year, what does that have to do with the past 100 years? Nothing. If the Yankees lose this year, what does it have to do with the last 100 years? Nothing. The past records and champions mean absolutely nothing year in a year out. If the Red Sox win the WS this year, then guess what! That means the Yankees DIDN'T win the WS this year. I am certainly not a bandwagon jumper, but even if I didn't like this Red Sox team, I'd pick them to win the WS. According to statistics, they were the best team in baseball. The win/loss record jus t doesn't show it...

That's funny. Why in the world would anyone wanna jump on the Red Sox bandwagon? I would never wish the disappointment we have to go through each year on anyone. Considering the Yankee's are the biggest bandwagon team in all of American sports, you might want to think before you post.

dont the yanks have to get by the twins first? i could have sworn that they split in NY and are heading into minnesota where they are really tough to beat. if the yanks dont win tonight they are done in game 4 with santana pitching.

I wouldn't say done, but they would be close to elimination. And, if the Red Sox go on to win the WS without playing the Yankees, 90% of Yankee fans would bring that up and it would get so annoying.

so you are kind of hoping that the red sox and yanks play each other? i dont see how they could out do the series they had last year, except if the red sox manage to move on.

Not necessarily. Its just that if Boston doesn't play New York, AND advances to the WS, then I'm sure a lot of Yankee fans will be saying Boston might not've gotten to the WS if they had played them first.
