Where are the Boston bandwagon cry babies now?:D

I thought it was great for New York to give Boston hope, only for them to take it away so quickly. Manny Ramirez might be a scary hitter, but he's absolute e in the field. Give me Matsui any day of the week.

I think NY will win tonight, lose 2 of 3 in Boston and win it in 6....but that's because I'm biased.;)

Manny's offense MORE than makes up for his shady defense.

no it doesn't...not when it cost Boston 3 runs last night. Sheffield shouldn't have scored on that play...and Ramirez played Bernie's double in the 8th like the lazy ****** he really is. A decent fielder would have had that ball.

Well, the sad thing, not only did I watch my fav team get SMOKED, but my friend will not pay up. So I lost big time!

Oh, well, 13 division titles are making that bench really bored, they haven't produced exciting streaks in playoffs since the '96 season, when Braves should've won another WS title ... They [Braves] dont have the excitement and the determination anymore, take every playoff for granted. There weren't that many fans attending Braves home games, except for the last one (what a surprise). Fans are bored.

The team didnt produce this playoffs - Chipper and Drew had horrendous numbers. Braves pitching was atrocious - why schedule Wright as a game 1 starter? That was a terrible move. It should've been either Hampton, Ortiz or Thompson. Braves pullpen was OK, until in game 5 when they were pounded ... on their home field ... and for the third straight year, and for 8 of their past 9 or so exist - they lose the playoff series at home.

My feeling was when I saw Braves getting pounded 12-3 is that that game signalled the end of the Braves run of the 13 consecutive division titles ... this is it. I felt it. Reminds me so much of their 1990 season, when they were dead last. Whatever has a beggining, has an ending, right?

I think it was a very dumb move by the Red Sox management to put Schilling as a game 1 starter, considering he has an ankle problem. I guess there is such thing as the Curse of Bambino ...

BTW, so far I am 4 for 4 in my playoff series picks ... :p

Did you see how deep that ball was? He played it as best he could. Saying a decent fielder would have had it is just assinine. Sure he makes stupid plays in the outfield, but that's what everyone harps on, never the good plays he makes.

it wasn't deep at all...it was 10 or 15 feet before the warning track. He was not hustling hard enough. And look how stupid he looked on Matsui's three run double in the 3rd. He's just lazy...why can't you Red Sox fans accept that? Great (but I wouldn't say clutch) hitter, ty fielder, which is why the Yankees passed on him when he left Cleveland.

Did you forget the ball that Matsui dropped that gave up 2 runs? If you're going to hammer home the same point, at least concede the fact that Matsui isn't the greatest fielder, either.

Going by the most notable defensive stat, fielding percentage, they are about equal. But... that stat sucks. Going by the other stats, range factor and zone rating, Matsui is a much better fielder. Ramirez is actually an average Left Fielder. So, he really doesn't even suck like everyone thinks.
