Its not that iimigrant is being used in a derogatory term. It's that immigrants are being discussed. Immigration is a system that needs to be fixed and it's high time it gets discussed instead of doing the usual canadian thing and ignoring and hoping the problems surrounding the current system just goes away.
As for natives. I'm sick and tired of people telling me that because im not native that I am somehow some sort of visitor here. I was born in this country and I know no other country but here as home. I am NOT an immigrant. I am native born Canadian just the same as someone who would be born in Italy would be considered a native of italy. I dont buy into this politically correct BS that always comes into play when talking about immigration that says "well u are an immigrant too". Sorry, I was not born in another country nor did i apply to live here. I was born here. What happened in the past happened in the past. I have no control over that. Whether it was 50, 300 or 3000 years ago it was before I was around. I will not be held accountable for actions I did not contribute to. It's as simple as that. |

We were talking about the bill, then some Muslim immigrant made derogatory remarks about our Queen. I then pointed out that it's wrong to let people into the country who don't respect our traditions. Even though it's clearly agaisnt our national interest to let those people into our country, the Lieberals allow them in because they vote Lieberal. |
