that doesn't invalidate the poll results anymore than election results ought to be invalid because most people don't even know what their candidate stands for (or in the case of Harper's Conservatives, what the entire party stands for, lol). |

IMO - banks should chip their client cards in a similar way and offer "unlimited" transaction packge for a few dollars per month.
If dexit can do it for a buck or two per hundred - then banks should be able to do it for much less. |

Not much to look at, but effective in its own way. The new system, however, is a total eyesore (figuratively speaking of course). To paint pretty pictures you need a set of rules and guidelines, you need a process, you need a PLAN that decides what to do with all that paint. Otherwise you end up with total chaos.
The question is, what are we going to be able to do now that we already have a wall with thousands of uncoordinated paint splotches. This country is messed up bigtime, especially in cities like Toronto. I'll leave the rest to the reader's imagination but really, the problem (and the only 3 or 4 plausible solutions) shouldn't be too difficult to grasp. |

She DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE ON OUR MONEY. She has NO signficance to us as a prospering nation. Maybe her grandmother had a hand during britains brutal colonization of earth.. but thats a different story. People like Truduea or Terry Fox or someone that has ACHIEVED something great for canada deserves recognition.... not that kunt who everyone so blindly has a connection to. |

You still have not explained how she deserves to be on our money more than other prominent canadians that have sacrificed alot to make this nation great. What HAS SHE DONE??

She is the Head of State of the Commonwealth and Canada is a member of the Commonwealth.
The Head of State of the Commonwealth has played and undisputed and important role in the history of the world and development of nations.
Canada's relation to the Commonwealth is a strong and vital part of Canadian history, tradition and heritage - which many (and most) Canadians value.
As in such - we pay tribute to our (willing) membership to the Commonwealth by placing our Head of State on some of our money.
I'm certain that the above explanation will not be enough for you and you will respond with a rash and emotional retort - but I'm open to be surprised and impressed by a mature response. |
