The people who put together blackpeopleloveus.com are white, not black. Thus it would be premature to assume I was lumping you in with Arabs by saying you should start arabsloveus.com.
Incidentally, I had a short conversation with two coworkers today, one emigrated from Malaysia in the 1980s and another came from Europe just a short time ago. It may shock you all very much to know that hardworking immigrants like them (and let me assure you they are hardworking, the former puts in 80 hour weeks sometimes) also hate our present immigration system and are very resentful of the masses coming into our country to scam the government while doing no work.
One was actually telling me a story about a recent immigrant she met who was twice my weight, on welfare, and bragging to everyone about his beautiful apartment, his BMW, and his new ESPRESSO CUPS that just came in. And about how (gasp) he DIDN'T HAVE TO WORK FOR ANY OF IT!
This is the attitude, folks - these people are parasites. It makes me sick to think that even one penny of my earnings is going to support these ******s, who are almost universally the same ones who show utter contempt for our country and refer to the Queen as a C.unt. |
Thats part of it... the other sad truth is that Canada misrepresents itself when courting doctors and other professionals overseas. hen they get here and discover something called the College of Physicians and Surgeons, or the Teacher's College and Federation that unlike the embassy, tells the new immigrants that their degree is no good. But by then it's too late as the immigrant has already sold his car, quit his job and spent 2 months salary on the flight to Canada. Not to mention the $1000 head tax on top of the $500 application fee.
The whole immigration system is a nightmare. We need to stop hiding from the topic and fix this mess. |

That's Canada's system though - screw the innocent, hardworking professionals and give their earnings to societal parasites.
What do you think collectivism is, at heart? It's a total negation of the fact that many poor and downtrodden are poor and downtrodden because they deserve to be. And that is a total negation of logic and reason. Any of us can be a victim of circumstance if we choose to spin it that way. |

It appears that you have a problem with our Charter of Rights and Freedoms and our Constitution, which set forth the very set of values upon which our laws our based! All capitalist societies need an upper, middle, and lower class to function, and proposing that the "poor and downtrodden" don't deserve a social safety net is a prime recipe for increasing the gap between the rich and the poor, which hurts our economy (rich people save a higher % of their money instead of spending it, and when they do spend it, they spend a much higher % of it outside Canada). The "trickle down" theory of economics is inherantly flawed... "bubble up" economics empowers individuals to become productive and ends up benefitting the economy, including the rich, more sustainably over the long term.
Would you rather live in a country like America where you can have access to life, (and fear of losing it because of their "right to bear arms") liberty (for those with money and power), and pursuit of happiness (at the expense of the environment, minorities, and the people you screw in order to get ahead)??
Sure, people abuse the system... but most of them aren't happy anyway. The environmental, social, and economic impacts of such people are NOTHING compared to impact of greedy, driven, heartless American corporations that send jobs overseas, wrecklessly pollute the environment, waste the world's natural resources, and promote dangerous globalization at such a rapid pace that it has become a threat to worldwide sustainable development. All this... for what? So you can drive SUVs? So your Big Mac can taste exactly the same in 185 countries? So 90% of all of American wealth is controlled by less than 1% of the population?
If you don't like this country, nobody's making you live here. Honestly, you can bash our politicians and argue about our laws, but when you say things like that about our country, it just makes you look ungreatful and selfish. Be thankful for what Canada has to offer. Go live in India or Sri Lanka if you think it's so terrible here. |

Anyway, back to the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
I got this bill @ work, and as nice as it is, it is the colour of a $5, so when counting $$$, and figuring out change, I damn near gave back $40 instead of $10.
The Mint in Canada is redoing our cash every bloody year.. it's getting ridiculous. |

^^^^ this kind of attitude makes me sick
As Canadians we should always question what we are told is "right" and decide for ourselves. Not just Bah and roll over.
All I know is that eventually, 65% of all my money (if not more) ends up in the government's hands. And for what? So many people abuse the system and healthcare is a shambles.
Id rather either have the same system that doesnt work with low taxes, or have a steller cadillac system with the money that is spent now. So much waste goes on in healthcare, welfare and public services. Im willing to bet we could get the exact same results with HALF the money we spend now. Just imagine what we could achieve if we took the money we have now and efficiently spent it.
No more airbus scandals, no more fountains in shawinigan, Grand Mere, Billions lost in HRDC, gun registry, failed helicopter deals, and second hand subs that go ablaze 2 hours after we get them and no more ad-scams.
^^^^ that money is a fraction of what gets wasted. Imagine all the healthcare and/or SUVs could be bought with all that money.
Sorry but when someone like myself or Diginut questions the system it's with good reason.
We are not anti-poor, etc etc. We just want to see OUR TAXMONEY spent the best way possible. The logic is simple, if you are going to waste it or spend it on non-essentials, dont take it. |
