She isnt OUR queen... we are not ruled by a monarchy. And all monarchy's should burn in hell.. there is no point for them to exist. Why should everyone work... and give a piece of the pie to a family who sits on their ass becuase of some fuedal system of rule that existed for centuries.... WHY??????????

Dude have some respect. If you cannot respect the country and it's traditions then you don't belong here. Its as simple as that. You sound like someone who demands respect yourself for the person you are and where you come from. Well you aren't going to get that respect from anyone here unless you respect the place where they are from and the people they are.
There is no reason you can't argue a point. Many people feel that the queen doesn't belong in Canada anymore. It's your right to feel that way. However the way you do it is so blatently disrespectful. Try having some tact when you discuss an issue. What if I went around attacking the traditions of your homeland in the way you are doing it now? I'd most likely be killed. And even if I did it in a civilized debating manner Id probably still suffer an ill fate.
See, what makes Canada great is that (for now) we have the ability to speak about these things freely. You even have the right to be an ass about it. But we also retain the right to get upset when you show ill regard for our traditions. |

So Australia, Belgium, Cambodia, Denmark, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Thailand sure all ban their monarchies huh?

Do you actually advocate monarchy's? They are the most discpicable systems on earth. WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE??? Why do they deserve this lavish lifestyle?? What is the POINT of a monarchy in this day???

My mother is Russian and Turkish and my dad is Persian
Iran once had a monarchy... now they have it worse. Democracy is what is ideal. Now theological or monarchial systems which favour specific peoples. |

Great and they left those places to come to Canada for the freedom and opportunity that the constitutional monarchy has allowed them. Up until 1967 we were still known as the Dominion of Canada and it wasnt until then that we got our own flag. We didnt get our own constitution seperate from Britain until 1981. So you see? Ties to the British monarchy do not only still exist, but it was very long ago that they were much much stronger. It's not 100s of years ago we are talking here. We are talking about within your parent's lifetime. So have some respect for what this country is.
Oh and since it seems you were born here. That makes you just as canadian as everyone else. So when you put down "canadians" with racial slurs you are only putting yourself down as well. |

I do not think it is Necessary for us to be under British ties. Im sure if you asked candians if they wanted to be conmpletly independent from Britain.. they would agree. I have no desire or respect for that person on the throne in England.. she means nothing to this great nation. She visits her "canada" every two years out of obligation. Do you not see??? WHY IS SHE DESERVING of being on our money?
People need to EARN my respect. She is a queen born into that position... she hasnt accomplished anything for canada.. yet her annoying face is all over our money. Wierd Al Yankovic deserves more respect. |

i don't necessarily agree with the fact that Canada should remove all British ties.. but i do agree that there are a lot more deserving figureheads out there which could be featured on the CDN $20 ..
