Time to give up vinyl for CD! (pg. 18)

I doubt AlphaStarred is a real DJ. :stongue: I think he's just a guy who wanted to make a mix for fun, and to promote the artists he likes.

If he is a "real" DJ, then yeah, he should get a grip and go buy the he likes.

What i make from my job and how I spend it is non of your business, and even if it was, it doesnt have the slightest to do with what we are originally discussing here.

You would think that given the recent surge in popularity in being a DJ that artists and labels would be making more money.

But the realty is that kids are buying cd decks and computer programs and downloading songs for free and trying come off as a DJs , like Alphastarred.

If this trend continues and dance music fans don't see the problems it cause I am afraid to tell you that it will destroy the incentive artists and labels have to push forth good music. DJ’s being the prime source of revenue for an artist in dance music should not disrespect them when they use their work without permission or the rights to do so.
Ory
It's like an evil circle, I tell ya.

EDM is so hard to come by that people who actually want to buy the music can't, so they download it and burn it to CD-R. But then, the labels and artists don't get money, and can't promote their stuff so more people will hear it.
Ory
If I had CD-decks (which I'll probably get eventually, for all the stuff ya can do with them that you can't do with TTs), I'd buy any CD-singles and albums that were in my reach.

:p indeed

i just laugh at people like dj piazza who cannot have a discussion without insulting persons instead of coming up with good arguments.

oh, and what next, call your friend VANDIT RECORDS to back you up? perhaps make a new account and talk about yourself in 3rd person? Or maybe "leave TA, being done talking with anyone on TA" ?

I read thru 13 pages and just sat wondering how a simple 'Utilization of CD's as a more effective promotion medium' got turned into a 'CD VS. Vinyl' Debate.
ah well.....carry on:p

First

I am not going to fall into your childish name calling trap because everyone knows you can not debate the issues with me and win. You need to resort to insults and name-calling in-order to level the playing field. You try to attack my credibility to destroy my claim. It won't work with me, not this time. I know all the tricks and methods very well Nooben.

Trust me I would be more than happy to talk about you and have fun making fun of you and your posts on TA but unfortunately TA will not allow to use the depth of vulgarity I could use to win in your childish game.

That is truly pathetic.

Second.

I thought I made myself clear on my stance against illegal MP3's. Do I need to re-post my positions again on why I believe illegal MP3's are wrong? Are you blind? You must be a true retard if you still believe its ok to use illegal MP3's. I called out AlphaStarr because what I discovered about him was outrageous and a slap in the face to the principles that this thread and TA talk about. If you think what ALphaStarr has done is ok you are just as pathetic as him.

Third.

I used a third screen name to defend myself when I knew a few of you would take the opportunity to try to kick me around. When you saw you could not advance this plan you cry 'wolf'. That was a pathetic attempt by you and the others to try to discredit me when I could not defend myself.

Vandit Records was my roomate. He's a good friend and he will stand up for me and help me out. I asked him to please speak for me when someone cried 'wolf' when I tried to defend my self wiht another screenname.

Fourth

AS much as I've tried to stay on topic ( talk about why illegal MP3's are wrong and why AlphStarred should be banned because of his explicit use of them) I continue to have to respond to questions that are not relevant to this topic. I choose to respond because they were obvious attempts to discredit me and my noble efforts.

The real problem with this forum is that certain people can't look past the small difference and understand a noble cause when they see one.

It is obvious that you and others are afraid of what I have to say because I carry so much weight in my threads. If I was indeed an or a nobody people wouldn't click on my threads or respond to what I say. This fact bothers you and others. People know I am honest, because people know I stand on principle, and because people know I am not an 100% they listen to me. This is why you and Markus Schulz do not like me.

I stand strong in my belief that illegal MP3’s are wrong. I believe people that use them and who are caught on TA using them should be banned.

I will never ever in my life time want to play out with a bunch of cd's. Vinyl are just too cool in my opinion, still..
