Oh, and 'gringe' is not a word. It's 'cringe'.

Neither is "alot".......n00b!

and he DID contradict himself...one minute he says the one way he judges a DJ is whether or not he can him dancing on the dancefloor and the next he says he judges at home....so piss off~!

ive been left thinking that ishkur has social problems and thats why he sits in a big empty room listening to the latest Z-tip live set.

Ishkur guide is quite funny; at times even true.

As for Z-Trip being the next #1 DJ....:haha:.......NO.

Yeah, I shouldn't say 'trance elitism', right?
I only say elitist when it's the case, I know damn well when it's not the case, I am not that of a ing moron, so stop assuming things that aren't true.

I guess you just don't pay attention as well as I do, then.

being in a club, an event, in surroundings that are fit for the music - sounds a lot different....

Usually worse. Some of the best sets I've ever heard were at clean, clear house parties with just monitors.

I would like to see a big name be on something like that. No lights, no visuals, no mammoth subs or bassbins to hide the fact that he's a mediocre playlister at best spearpointed in front of mountains of marketing.....just a guy, in a room, with people. See what he does.

Have you? I have. You know what ends up happening? ....Dissapointment.

Yeah, drugs are known to do that.

ABSURD!!!!!!!!!!!.....how u can make such a claim is beyond me.
You would have to have some amazing house that could sound better then a club...your ceilings would have to be high as hell and the walls would have to be built far different then with simple sheet-rock.

Real easy. The size of the system has absolutely nothing to do with how well it sounds, or that it takes full advantage of the acoustics of any room. Add a couple thousand sweating bodies, and that's an added dynamic.

The purpose of a club is to make money by selling alcohol. The music is a distant and unimportant attraction in the eyes of club staff. Generally, sound systems are constucted and manned by the lowest bidder. Maybe you just don't listen very well, but trust me on this: club systems sound like . You ask audio engineering grad, and they can tell you everything that's wrong with the sound system in your most important clubbing experiences.

Lighting builds atmosphere and CAN bring out parts of a track that u hadnt noticed before.

ha ha ha. In what way? Does it magically transport the music into your head for you? And besides, we're not talking about lighting, we're talking about DJs, remember? Are you seriously this dense?

It is more then playing other people's records...they have to get the crowd going, dancing, having a good time by picking the best tunes at the right time...

You say that as if it's some arcane, mystical science that people have to spend years studying in order to learn how to do. Guess what: it ain't that hard. You've been had. You've fallen, hook line and sinker, into the "mythology of the DJ". If you can count to 4, you've already removed 90% of this mysticism.

Wake up. The scene is lying to you.

(oh, and change your name)

The words of a man who has been proven wrong.

You can't thank the DJ for the lighting, that's the club owner's job to set up. Same thing with the bar, where you get your precious alcohol. And you wouldn't be wrong in thanking a couple of hundred kiddie ravers for the atmosphere, either. Heck, you can't even thank the DJ for the *music*; HE PLAYS OTHER PEOPLE'S RECORDS. And what the is this thing about playing the right track at the right time? Give me some good ing examples of that.

Wow you are dumb, obviousely if you were not there, how could he prove it?

I have some videos but there is no need to prove it to you.

VERY TRUE

I would also add that Whoever said music sounds different in a club (i.e. a ty songs in your headphones sounds good in a club) is a in idiot. Seriously, a real in idiot.

Good music is in good music. Listening to it while you take a in a bathroom or dancing in a club should make no difference. The song will be the same. Granted the sound in a club will be louder BUT it is the same in song. PERIOD.

HOWEVER, a good track will sound even better on a loud system. Not because a loud system changes the dynamic of the track but because it's a good track and you want to hear it loud.

Obviosuly bass heavy tracks sound better on louder systems. The bass really does kick you in the ass. But, a bass heavy tracks will be a bass heavy tracks on a club system.

( For example, a John Askew track on a home system sounds great but a 'John Askew track on a club system is insane.)

As I said before good tracks will be good tracks on any system. tracks will be tracks on any system.
