Proven wrong how?
He started going on a tangent about clubs and conspiracies...i now question his intellectual capacity.

You can't thank the DJ for the lighting, that's the club owner's job to set up. Same thing with the bar, where you get your precious alcohol. And you wouldn't be wrong in thanking a couple of hundred kiddie ravers for the atmosphere, either. Heck, you can't even thank the DJ for the *music*; HE PLAYS OTHER PEOPLE'S RECORDS. And what the is this thing about playing the right track at the right time? Give me some good ing examples of that. |
Who said i thanked the DJ for the lighting?
Precious alcohol? Um i don;t drink
Kiddie ravers? What clubs do you go to..i dont see kiddie ravers...well not since 98.
He plays other peoples records...so?
When did i say right track at the right time?
U seem to of put many words into my mouth.
However, to say u cant drop the right track at the right time is absurd....
For example..dropping a track like Tiesto - Magik Journey at the begining of a set is the right time...unlike dropping a track like Darl Alliance - Vibration as a first track....is that a good enough example for you? Even though i never said what u accused me of.
And to back up a tad....any moron that says they have better acoustics and sound system then a club in their house is full of . Unless of course u run an amazing setup. Maybe none of you have heard a Phazon sound system...i assure you that u could not put one in your home.
Steve Dash designed and built Phazon sound system...the friggen guy used to work for NASA.
The original Phazon at The Twilo in New York was widely acknowledged as a tremendous feat of engineering.
Sasha was quoted as saying: "It's like being in bed with the fittest girl ever. It's a dream; the sound it produces is exactly how the producer in the studio would want it to sound."
So good was Twilo's PHAZON that DJs Sasha and Digweed would frequently leave their posts mid-set and run to the middle of the floor to hear their favorite record play properly. The system is second to none, with clear high-and mid-range levels, and bass bins that would rumble your insides but, miraculously, would do no damage to your eardrums. You could go out all night and your ears would not hurt the next morning....
U obvioulsy have never been to a club with Phazon...
And again...i ask what setup u have at home...!!! |

I would also add that Whoever said music sounds different in a club (i.e. a ty songs in your headphones sounds good in a club) is a in idiot. Seriously, a real in idiot. |
I said that u gimp.
What i meant was that he probally had $20 headphones that he used...not top of the line ones.

Good music is in good music. Listening to it while you take a in a bathroom or dancing in a club should make no difference. The song will be the same. Granted the sound in a club will be louder BUT it is the same in song. PERIOD. |
WRONG..... sounds different in a club....
Thats like saying Opera sounds better at home....it may sound similar..but no where near the way it sounds in an Opera house.
A orhestra may sound good at home on top of the line speakers...but no where near the way it sound sin Carnegie Hall.

HOWEVER, a good track will sound even better on a loud system. Not because a loud system changes the dynamic of the track but because it's a good track and you want to hear it loud. |
My Stanton headphones play "LOUD"...thats not the point....its not that a club is louder....i guess u have to hear a good system to understand. |

Yes. But a opera track at home will be a opera track live.
What you said before ( correct me if I'm wrong) is that a track can be transformed to sound 'good' through a club audio system. I disagree. |

What i meant was that a track that you may of thought was crappy can sound better in a club....and i am a firm beleiver of that.
EDM is, and always has been, meant to be played in a CLUB...not on headphones, not at home and not in the car - in a club......
Obiously if the track is so friggen horrendous, then it wont sound better to you...of course...i am tlaking more on the lines of tracks that u think are boring and skip through in a live set MP3....NOT the tracks u would go so far as to delete out of a live set MP3...understand? |

i believe you have comfused a sequenced with mixed.
a crap sequenced song sounds whatever the weather, but a averagely mastered track can sound better louder.
take 'My My My' or 'Flashdance', no there not poorly mastered but to get the full power of the tracks you have to be in a club. |

Amen to that! :D I've changed my mind about lots of tunes after hearing them played out live. There's a world of difference to playing an mp3 on your computer and feeling a tune reverberate through you one a crowded dancefloor. |

If you judge a track by listening to an mp3 you are mad.
part of the mp3 converting process is to remove the frequencies outside of human hearing range. so even if you listen on one gigantic system on your own ishkur, it wont sound as good. |

I disagree.
I think music can be played anywhere, as long as the setting is appropiate. For example, a beach party, outside, a warehouse, a stadium, etc.
If the sound system is good than people can dance.
Just saying EDM is strictly for a club is limiting the growth of EDM.
that said, Tiesto's Mickey Mouse adventure is an example of where EDM out door parties should not be. Having a concert for Mickey Mouse is STUPID. That's an example of selling out.

EXACTLY ! I hear tracks as either good or . I try not to make things complicated.

If you are on drugs or excited these boring borderline songs will 'sound' better. It's just an illusion though.
For example, when you're drunk borderline ugly girls look OK. It's an illusion though. |
