Somehow I like Scott Brown the most. His mixes have just been the ones that have had the best effect on me. There's a lot of other good DJs in many other genres so I won't say his the #1, I just say I like his mixes most and his songs too. Who could be the #2... hmm... I dunno, I just say: the rest. or then myself... Hmm, probably, yes, no, nah, ok, it's DJ Silver.
Some mixes from DJs like Tiesto, Cosmic Gate and Armin are also great. They sometimes have some kind of effect too.
I think it's stupid to rate DJs everywhere... They have differnt style, they have different music, they even have different listeners so it's an endless fight about the #1 cause the #1 could also be the one who you are either listening right now or then have listened previously. Sometimes it's like that for me and I said Scott Brown up there only because I just heard one of his mixes. |

| I'd stfu concerning Ishkur, he has a clue unlike 98.9% of people out there. Did you realize, which I just did that his guide to music was a complete pisstake on the genre elitists, not a guide for facking noobs. But then again, I doubt any of you ever caught that. |

Ay, you're still did not get what I have said. Did ya? I have stated that certain individuals, after reading his guide, will develop elitist attitude toward many genres. Ishkur does not say anywhere that he considers his fav genres superior, but people, who will follow his guide will have the aforementioned attitude. Still with there, buddy? |
I don't think anyone will develop elitist attitudes at all from reading Ishkur's guide. They will like what they like no matter what the guide says. Like you, and most of the people in this thread. You have no idea how many people have "Ishkur's attitude" yet have never read his guide, do you? Ishkur is not the only person in the world who hates your favorite music, even if he's the most popular one, the one which you will not look past.
| quote: | | Correct, but that does not mean to bash other genres and consider them stupid or below. Ishkur does exactly that. See all other trance genres besides, what he considers classical trance. Get the flow, or do you still think I am saying it all out of ignorant spite, lol. |
Criticizm is not eliticism. The only trance genres i've seen him bash are Epic and anthem trance. That's two out of how many, 20? 30? Naw...you're just irritated that he made fun of your favorite. |

no simply pointing out how can you comment on the guide if you have never read the guide? |

| If the enjoyment of music depended solely on the technicality of the music, everyone in the world would be listening to the days of classical music from Bach and Beethoven. |

I think what makes a great dj is if he can get U on the dancefloor and keep U there....:)
ofcourse no dj is going to get me on the floor if he ainīt mixin good and selecting the right tunes..
I was a bit scared of cd players first, but now I think they give us more possebilitys.....but Iīm never going to quit using decks ever.
my favorite dj Used to be sasha....but Iīve seen him twice and he didnīt keep me on the floor...but he is a good dj

I most definitely CAN tell them all apart. |
I'd ask you prove it, but being the whore you are (man, that IS some impressive shoveling, no doubt....I've gotta tip my hat to you for that), you've probably heard everything they've ever done over and over again and have memorized the mixes. So the point would be moot.
(pssst...a secret: they aren't aware of what they are doing. They're just playing music. More prosaically, they are playing music their labels and the magazines have told them to play as favours to others who have hyped up their music in return. It's a money thing, not an artistic or a musical thing)
The real test, then: Give all these DJs the same 20 records. Figure out who's belongs to who when they give the mixes back.
I should start a contest or something. |
