Please explain how that ty trade helped the mets get Pedro and Beltran? |

i've been to 2 yanks-red sox playoff games (game 1 in 2003 and game 1 in 2004) and 1 yanks-red sox regular season game in the bleacher creature section and all those games looked like a peaceful gathering compared to a Mets-Yanks regular season game in the bleacher creature section.
a fight every 2 innings, people getting thrown out left and right, obscenites left and right....
Now that was an experience |

The backlash from that trade led to the demotion of Jim Duquette and to the hiring of Omar Minaya. Without Minaya, there is no way we get Pedro and Beltran. |

It's too bad the Subway Series will hurt the division standings for one of the teams
If the BoSox can sweep the Braves, and the Mets take 2 out of 3 against the Yanks, then the Mets could be ahead of the Braves before they meet on Monday.
The Mets need to take advantage of the Braves not having John Thomson, as well as its closer situation.
After that, then there's the Marlins, followed by the D-backs, another possible wild-card contender |

Gawd, that was an ugly game to say the least. Merely 5 errors...That was one of Jeter's worst games I've seen too. And we still spanked your sorry asses!
