See... I just don't get how Yankee fans can even say that anymore. I'm a Mets fan and I can't even say that. All of our spots are filled except bullpen. We have the minor leaguers to trade... but nothing to trade for really. What can the Yankees even trade for? Better yet, what can they even trade? All their spots are filled with contracts... and they have in the minors. I guess Eric Duncan and Ming Wang will be gone by midseason to some poor sap organization that overvalues the Yankees farm for some reason...

you none yankee fans are so sad......each pitcher has only had 3 starts already and ur all giving up on them lol...its the yankees for gods sake they didnt win 26 world series for nothing. There pitching will be fine its just a slow start. I know it sucks not being a yankee fan cause all ur teams do is loose. If you really think the yanks are gonna finish bad then you have no idea what your talking about or have a clue a about baseball. shut up all ready theres a whole season left hahaha

Some order is restored, as Yankees win 19-8.
They had a similar result last October, and you all know what happened afterwards. :p
Let's see if something like that happens again

Orioles also got pounded, so BoSox will move into sharing the lead with them.

Mets are going to be in last place after tonight's loss to the Phillies, but wow, they almost came back in the 9th inning. The bullpen seems to be doing much better, following all the criticism earlier. Now the starters need to step up. Also, Looper's gonna have to be better at completing saves.

Because we traded for Randy Johnson and what we traded (in terms of minor leaguers) were scraps. I think people still like our scraps (yes.. the poor saps). Eric Duncan, Ming Wang, or Robinson Cano. I'm not talking about trading for Ben Sheets. But maybe some semi-serviceable veteran starter or a relief pitcher. Paul Quantrill licks balls and Tom Gordon looks like he's still reliving the Boston letdown everytime he goes out there.

It's still too early to be drawing too many conclusions. Javier Vasquez, Jason Giambi, and Estaban Loaiza made the all-star team last year.

The only thing I really see you guys making a trade for is Ken Griffey. He's still got a big contract and the Reds have 4 Outfielders. I guess, if the Yanks paid his whole salary and gave Duncan/Wang/Cano or a combo of whatever, the Reds would do it. And I'm sure Grif would accept it. I'd be so disappointed though...

Nomo outpitches Johnson, 6-2 and brings Yankees back to the basement to join the Rays.

Meanwhiles, Mets are also in last place, but blow out the Phillies 16-4 to tie again.

And then they'll score none. They are an all or nothing team. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I can read but thanks for the self quotation (promotion). ;)

Yeah, it seems as though this batch of Yanks struggles when things don't go their way. They don't seem like fighters in the way of Paul O'Neil. When things are clicking on all cylinders then it's like BOOM.... 19 runs. Unfortunately, you got to grind out a lot of wins to be a champion.

I went to the game yesterday for $5. At the moment, the Yanks are looking really old. The Big Unit has been quite a big disappointment to me so far but I still think he'll turn it around. However, Tom Gordon looks like a piece of crap. I turned to my friend right before he came in and said that Gordon was gonna make it ugly really quickly. He looks like he's in a daze out there. Same goes for all the relief pitchers. They are just not getting it done!

Man... A Rod just doesn't earn my love. He never gets an important hit. I was thinking he was gonna hit a solo HR in the 8th last night when they were down 6-2.

Right now I'm a cranky Yankee fan!! I think Steinbrenner echoes my sentiments lately.
