unfortunately, i doubt it now as there is already 5 judges so there can be no tie, but if a judge drops out your in.
is that okay with every1 else? |

I think we better put limits on this too:
Judges max = 5
Contestants max = 25
Currently:
Judges = 5 (1 substitute)
Contestants = 23

| are you guys gonna be making excepts in the contestant number? say teh 25th person enters and there is one more person that wants to enter, will you let that person in? |

Guys, ... STart mixing, and uploading, ... because if you're all gonna upload the last few days, you are SOOO Gonna overload the server, and you're giving the judges a very hard time. If the server is overloaded, and your mix is NOT online by 01-01-'02, you are considered a DROP-OUT ...

He ain't kidding.
For those of you who are less well known with the net, all FTPs have bandwidth, which is how much can be uploaded of downloaded per day. If this limit is exceeded there will either be a fine, or there is no more transferring allowed until midnight in that time zone.
Unfortunately there is no excuse for not uploading mixes really as I am on 56k and although Cyrax uploaded this mix for me (cheers ;)) I have since uploaded another mix on my 56k.
So just get the mixes up!!!

woo, I got my work cut out for me, that's a lot of mixes to download.
okay, so the cutoff date has passed, the judges are all in.
am I correct that I can start downloading the mixes now? I prelistened to one, but it was incomplete, so.. I want to make sure everyone is done before I start.
I think heats are a bad idea, it should be all at once.
also for the judges what do you think about a group listening session? one of us (me) could download the mixes, then stream them out over shoutcast and we could all listen at once, like we were at a rave or something, chat about the tracks and the mixing and stuff.
or maybe taht would introduct bias? |

don't think that's a good idea, ... All the judges listen to the mixes @ different times, ... on the way to school, while working, while @ the PC, ... So the Southcasting option is (for me) unavailable ... What we could do is set a date for the judges that they should have listened to like 5 predefined mixes, and have a group chat-session about it ... but it's nearly impossible to keep everybody's attention for 70 minutes to listen to a mix and talk about it. I listen to mixes while studying or working (fixing PC's) ... So i can't talk about them at the same moment
Any other judges feel the same way ??
