Guv nights like this = complete utter bull in my personal opinion...

never made it in at all...me, cale, dan, and stefan decided to get the outta there about an hour after we got in line...only moved 50 feet in the line and was still no where close to nearing the door...

met up with Lisa and Jamie after they got a hold of us and told us they couldnt bare anymore of what was going on inside...
so we headed to Josh's place and chilled out to some tunes before heading home around 6...

swear to god there was enough people OUTSIDE to fill ANOTHER Guv

ANSWER : NO, Dan! fak NO! well... patio after 7 am was kinda empty. lol

my review will be short!

Lawler should be put in jail! He's a Killer. and he's a King!
Amazing set! 10/10

Venue: 0/10 Another night like this and I will never be back to the GUV! Whoever will be spinning there!

Crowd: N/A

TAs: 10/10 I just wanna cry, thinking how much fun we could have if....
But it was nice to see so many familiar faces and meet more new friends!
We would dance it up, even if they wouldnt let us breath at all!

what track is that vocal from?
djole071
Oscar G - Dark Beat.... i wanna know the song he played before that though.. sick ass bassline with fast paced horns.. everyone just went funkiiinn wild
Blue.
He replayed the tune of the night from the last time he was at the Guv, Planet Funk - Stop Me (King Unique dub) and followed it with HugsNKisses which just plain ruled.

Did he end up playing the King Unique mix of Suicide Sports Club - I Don't Know? I kept praying for him to drop it but at about 5am I was gone.

NOT COOL!!!! :whip: :whip: :whip:

I'm getting so sick of the Guv.

Arrived nice and early. Was in line before they opened the doors. So, needless to say, it wasnt too busy when we got in.

Then all-ing-hell broke loose! I've NEVER been so jammed in a club like that before. :whip: UGH!!! There still wasnt much room to dance even at 5:00!!

Dan, Cale, Aaron and whoever else didnt get in, I'm sorry you guys didnt get to party. But you may have been just as pissed off if you got in...

On a lighter note, it was great to see everyone!

See you all soon!!

got to the guv at 11:30 after oversleeping on my pre-party nap.

got into the guv at 1:30 after the clock went back.

Attached myself to two guv vets in line, and aonther 'younger' girl clung on as well. Girl was hot, but annoying as hell. Every 5 minutes she'd call up her boyfriend in the club to scream at him to get her in.....Nothing doing, so we had to endure endless chatter and bitterness, leaving a sour taste in my mouth from the get-go.

Ran into Graham early on, but lost him, and subsequently all of the TAs. Fortunately a cool group of TA lurkers were kind enough to take me under their wing for the night, so if you're reading this, stop lurking, and I'll introduce you all to this community for fine dance music loving people!

It was hot, packed, but overall, I did have some room to move on the stage, so it wasn't as unbearable as the guv usually is for me, but obviously the highlight of the night was the intimate lawler set we were treated to in charlie's later on in the night.....Loved that concept, Lawler sitting literally 2 feet away from you right on the dancefloor dropping killer choons.

Anyway, my soft tissues need sleep, so I think I'll oblige. Overall, an ok night, but nothing spectacular.

Kinda regret bailing on that. But I was DONE! I would have been sleeping in the DJ booth LOL

So sorry to hear that Ray. We stayed home as I have been ill all week and dealing with the crowd at the GUV was something my old and sick body didn't have the energy for. Seems like that call was a good one. The good thing about Lawler is that he will be back around.

My question for those who did go and stick around...did Sean Miller play? and what was the surprise that people were whispering about before hand?
