First...HUGE thanks to Ben, Craig and Scott for figuring out a way for Tyler and myself to get in.
Lawler was great, first time seeing him live.
This would have to be my 1st "bad" experience at guv...quite surprised that I lasted as long as I did in there...hoped it would get better later on, but by 5ish I realized that it ain't happening and decided to jet home and get some rest before work. |

Two  up!
Lawler was on fire all night. Top f'ing notch! The set in Guv was fantastic. Superior DJ performance. Totally satisfied w/ Mr. Lawler's LO3 show.
Steve kicked it up a notch and continued to rock my socks with his "Copper Davidfield" magik from 6:30 until 9:30. WOW! The best way to to sum up the morning: it was the LO3 Guv performance, but with even better tunes, only a hundred people (each one thirsting for a party) and ROOM (space) to really kick it and shake ass. Unbelievable. Seriously.
This gig gets special "mental note - do not forget" status.

i arrived at guv around 4:30-5:00 with killah monkey. i stayed until about 7:30 (all summer time, not winter time).
guv was extremely extremely packed. it was very uncomfortable in the mainroom. i stayed in the d'luxe lounge and the drink for my entire stay.
lawler played really well from what i recall.
joe manzone was ripping up in the drink.
i would've taken more pics but my batteries died. i forgot to charge them before i left my house and i didnt bring spares. :(

Yes, there were people shoving. Yes, it was hot.. blah blah blah. BUT THE MUSIC WAS NUTS!!!! And plenty of happenin' people to boost you up.
Thanks a ton to all you TAs who still can't tell me apart from Sasha but introduced themselves anyhow :). You guys had some nice costumes.
Funniest part of the night was when some douche asked me "Who's spinning tonight?" in the lineup. I got there around 10:45 and had to wait to meet up with some ppl. Lined up by 11:30ish.. got in a bit after 2. Then coatcheck, and then the craziness.
Afterparty was ing awesome although my legs had pretty much given out I was still givin it a good bop or two.
For me this is probably one of the best parties I've been to in a longggg time. Kicked the out of LOL. I don't mind when it gets crowded like that.. pumps up the atmosphere when everyone just goes nuts and the energy in the room snaps.
Anyway, overall.. awesome ing night!

I've been to the Guv since just a bit before Decadence, and it has never been that bad from what I've seen. |

Let me just say that last night the guvernment the i was at was much different than the guvernment that i usually go to.
It was as packed as I have ever seen it, at times frustratingly so, but despite that there was a different feeling to the party.
Lawler's staging was huge, with decorations all over the place.
His set, was incredible!
Something that was truely different for me. I've seen him before, but never like this. He was on fire, and the entire show was spectacular!
Won me over to him 1 thousand percent!
Oh yeah, and the private set in charlies afterwards was amazing!
Hope that becomes a new tradition, cause it was sooo much fun! |

Oh it's been worse than that man. Just get used to it lol. My friend Ann who we just recently got into partying had never seen it that crowded ever and we had been warning her the whole time that it gets nuts sometimes. :) |
