This was my first time attending a Halloween bash at Guv, and will probably be my last. It was waaaaayyyy too packed in the main room to really enjoy all the festivities.
But it was still a fun night thanks to all the friends I partied with over the course of the evening. I don't think I've ever spent THAT MUCH time outside on the patio before. I also spent quite a bit of time on the 2nd level outside The Drink, overloooking the main room. :nervous:
Nice to meet some more new faces as well as seeing all the usual suspects. ;) Big ups to E2EK1EL and Tordan. :)
See you all soon.

That was officially the worst Guv experience ever.
Got there a little before 11, got in after 2... While I was in line I almost got into 3 fights, all with people that without asking, without any word decided to bud... I waited straight from the back, so I was well pissed about the time that people begun to try to bud. The only thing that kept me entertained, is me and my friends making fun of the people walking by in ridiculous costumes. And talking to some cool people in line.
I hated my life while i was in line, but once inside I realized I would have much rather been outside.
When I first got hit by the heat wave, i knew this will be a challenging time.
Were talking about as packed, as I had ever seen. Litterally no room to move, you could barely lift an arm every once in a while. The smoking patio was no better.
It was messed up. What I heard of Lawrer's set was awesome, he is truly hardcore, it makes me really sad to think the time I would have had to his sound if there was like three times less people.
A little pissed off at yesterday, but oh well what you gonna do.
You win some you loose some.
Next saturday it should be much better.
Nice to meet some people from Tranceaddict though. Hope to meet more of you guys next time. |

i also am now banning guv for future halloween plans. this is my second year in a row that i found it completely horrendous. i would have put this down as one of the worst parties ever.
thank god lawler in charlies turned this frown upside down :)
anyways, d (dnmr) and i arrived around 3ish (work) and got right in (love the bar courtsey)..and immediately wished we could get out. coat checks were full everywhere, the place was rammed..and the crowd was uber pushy. the fog machine would not stop and i couldn't find anyone anywhere. the FRC did not exist last night.
i'm afraid i didn't pay much attention to lawlers first set. i was in a rotten mood (still recovering from andy moor) but i was going nuts in charlies..sick sick sick!!!
eric (vivid)..i know where u live..better watch yourself :P
josh (shanny)..thanks soo much for the afterparty..always a pleasure..as well as the company..karim, ryan, lisa, pett, lars, jamie (my TWIN!!) steve and sarah and sarah
-spitty-
oh and on a final note..if there was ever to be holy trinity of the haus..there would only be one member necessary..lars. god girl. u can in move!!! |

Tristan dude...thank you SO much for letting me use your phone. I don't know how I would have gotten a hold of the boys on the outside and gotten back to Josh's. Wish I could have partied with you more. I'll make note to add you into my priorities schedule when I get home :) |

ing huge dissapointment....One of the crappier nights of the year despite being so pumped for it. Oliver played better tunes than Lawler, which is totally a disgrace. It didn't seem like he was putting enough effort; it was very average. The fact that the place was wayyy overcrowded didn't help either....I want my $#@* ing dance space you posers! The student surpassed the teacher last night; Sean Miller started off really great, but around 6:30-ish he started playing slow, driving through a prairie tunes....It got me really ticked off, since I still needed to dance off my energy. I didn't do much....The only upside was that my crew finally decided to come with me, even though they decided to kick it in the Orange Room pffffft. My stupid facepaint was melting, so I washed it off, but unfortunately I missed a few spots (including the inside of my nostrils) rofl, so I looked like an idiot...thx for everyone not pointing that out :P...It was awesome to see the TOTAs...had quite some fun at the patio.
Oh and replace Sean Miller with whoever played after Lawler ^^ who did play? Don't tell me it was Oliver?... |

Dan and Aaron (Aaron Joseph/DJ Celica) showed up about 11:45, got in line after NOT listening to Tyler and Max. Met up with Stefan (nycionx) immediately. Almost 2 hours later we had moved about 20 metres, and after much goading by Aaron we left after realizing we weren't gonna get in within a few hours at least.
Basically that sucked , but Stefan introduced us to the best gyros ever, Messini's on Danforth (holy that was delicious). Then met up with Lisa and Jamie and went to Josh's place to sit around and watch people fall asleep while listening to choons.
Cruised about 5-5:30ish, Responsible-Cale had to kick in to get some people home for the night.
you, Guvernment. you. |

In case you didn't put this together, he needed further review to realize that someone who looked 20 years older than you, was not you.

I personally had the best night ever. Having only partially recovered from the insanity of Andy Moor at Viva on Friday, I made it to the door of delux by 11 (good to get there early.) We partied at the drink till 2. We had a booth which made it more spacious. The beats were insane. Manzone definitely impressed me. 2 O'clock made my way down to see the opening of Lawler, but it was just too packed in there. We headed back to the booth and stayed till 3:30.
Then what I can only describe as absolute insanity manifested in the form of Steve Lawler's beats. I stayed till 7 when he closed the night off with his rendition of Bombdog's I can't explain. WOW. And it was still too packed to fully be able to dance. I have never seen the club so full, but it only got better as the night wore down, as the pretencious posers started to leave the venue.
I personally had a fantastic weekend. |
