I have been to all of those clubs - other than Viva - and had nights where its overcrowded. Guv gets like that more often because it can - all of those other clubs will not turn away paying customers if they were in that position - thats why almost all clubs were charged earlier this year when they were cracking down. The reason you waited in line for so long was because they were limiting capacity - the costumes mde it feel so much worse than it actually was. |

The music was awesome. Lawler killed it. " Toronto , you are best fawking crowd in the world " lolz thats what he said and i do beleive it wud have been much better if it wasnt overpacked. Oh well ... hanging out with TAs just made the night better for me. If it wasn't for the awesome TA ppl i wudnt have stuck around even for 10 minutes. Thnx Max for everything last night. It's actually very rare for guv to be enjoyable. Those clubs are never as overcrowded as guv, and at least the people overcrowding them aren't retarded--plus you can actually hear the music, guv sound system is . |

seeing all these posts about the great time that should have been had but wasnt because of the crowd, makes me think that we made a good choice just leaving.
Guv was okay upto 1:30AM - Then mosh pit ensued
MY QUESTION TO EVERYONE IS THIS: Was there a time in the night where all of a sudden there was actually room to dance? |

It sounds like this is another reason why the Guv or any of the bigger named Toronto clubs shouldn't go all out promoting. Without saying a word about who's spinning on any given night, there are enough people in the GTA that will know about it and get enough people in the club so that everyone will be happy (us, so we can dance and them because they can meet their expected 'financial numbers'). It's pretty sad because you think they will learn their lesson by true EDM lovers complaining but really, they're laughing behind it with the money they've made.
Anywho, hope everyone had a great night. Lawler is the man right now in House Music so it must have been a treat for everyone who kills for his House sound. |

I got to Guv around 11:30 with Josh, Steve and Sarah...saw RJ right away. Great to see you hun! I frickin' missed you like crazy! It was great to see some faces I haven't seen in awhile, Frankie, Cam, Margs, Ray...I'm not going to attempt to list everyone!
I know I missed seeing a LOT of people. This was because it was so crowded in the Guv, I spent most of the time outside on the patio. It was so packed even on the patio, that I would be standing still and was STILL being pushed around from every which way. It really wasn't a good night for me, and it got to the point where I really couldn't handle it anymore. I almost wanted to cry. I felt terrible, b/c I know I don't get to party with so many of you that often...and I was REALLY looking forward to this night. I'm sorry guys...I'm usually a trooper, but I just couldn't do it!
Jamie and I left, and met up with Cale, Dan, Aaron & Stefan and we came back to Josh's to hang out and listen to some beats until about 5ish. Then I took a little breather, til a bunch of people came back here for the after party.
Again...I'm really sorry I couldn't hack it. I wish I could have seen and partied with so many of you! I'm gonna be at Rank 1...so I hope to see you all there. :) |

Was a little confused about the Koolhouse line. Asked someone about the line and was told Koolhouse halloween, Lawler is spinning???
Talked to doorman and got the facts.

Guv was like a regular night up to the costume contest at 1:30. Then the dance floor was just pushing and shoving from there on.
It was not the amount of people, but the fact that so many people were trying to sprint across the dance floor.
So many people just leaning in with one sholder and charging across the floor.
Lawler was spinning some great tunes, but the traffic was just killing me.
Saw the one girl in a red tshirt like push by me over 12 times, were people just running around doing laps around the floor?
Called it a night at 3:30,

LAWLER JUST WOW! From start to finish...I stayed for the entire set cuz i saw him in March and then missed him in June I COULDNT miss him this time!!!! GUV was RIDICULOUS....a bunch of us got there at 10:30 went in thru the drink the lineup was long but thanks for havin good friends in times like this that actually come thru :)
a bunch of us TA's were chillin on the patio HOPING it would get empty BUT hahah never happened! still managed to move to some Swedish Mafia house choons!!!wooot! Chilled in the Drink for a bit too WOW!! dirrrrrrrrrrrty beats is all i can say !!!
Everyones costumes looked WIKID!! overall the night was but LAWLER WAS FLAWLESS and though i got in 7 yelling matches i stuck it out till 6:45----------------THE END
P.S sorry for those who stood in line and didn't make it in :( U guys really missed an amazing set by Lawler BUT nothing else! |
