WOW.....lawler is the man....I love his dark dirty beats...just when I think he can't get any darker or dirtier he takes it to a level I never knew existed.
It was great seeing some of the TAs I have met in the past and great to meet so many new faces.
Moral, Devian_23 and I got there about 10:40.....after parking on the road....which I knew was a mistake and I have the $126.00 towing receipt to prove it...we walked up to Guest List Line and got in within 15 minutes. It was already busy inside but hey that's what I like....so much energy filling the room. I agree it is way to packed but that's because they let the other rooms pour into Guv.
Just before Lawler started to spin I took off for a smoke and told Devian_23 I would be back in a few minutes....well....I saw her and Craig at 7:30.
Another great night and can't wait for the next party. |

So my big plan was to go to the D'Luxe Lounge and hang out there until the party in the Guv got normal. One friggin problem, as we walked into the Lounge, it was a pure hip hop/top 40 event. I got quite disappointed because there was no way I was listening to that stuff the whole beginning of the night. Thank GOD that we were able to go to The Drink. What great tunes to start the night. I stayed there for a while, until I found out that we were able to go downstairs and get a stamp to go back up. I tried the downstairs for 2 minutes and gave up.
Back to the good tunes in The Drink for me. I ended up going down for the Lawler intro, front and centre. That was out of this world. I do love intros. After that, I just floated around the whole place, not really listening to the set because I was too busy fighting off the Guv crowd from every direction. Then my plan to listen to the rest of the set from the D"Luxe Lounge came into effect when they opened the windows in there.
This is when I found out about Ray and Rich being kicked out. I thought they just left because they didn't want to deal with the crowd but it was not true.
When RJ found out about the passes to the afterparty, it was my mission to get as many of those passes for as many people that I wannna party with as I could. I ended up getting 6 to 8 to as many people I as could have.
I knew that the Lawler set in the Guv was a complete write off because of the crowd so I didn't even bother concentrating on the tunes. The good stuff was coming in the morning anyways.
We went into Charlies when there was like 15 people there. I knew right away, this was going to be the best time of the night. All I could think about tho was the people that weren't there. Namely, Del and Ray and Rich. Lidsay and I both texted Del and he showed up within 15 minutes. I decided, if they could come so can Ray and Rich. And sure enough those guys were in after a small mission.
After that, the party was complete. Great crowd, great tunes, great environment! Shook my ass, for all the time I missed shaking my ass earlier in the night. Steve was amazing. The set was perfect, started slow and went into an awesome driving set, it was like the rest of the night never happened. It was like a booth party but for everyone. Thanks to Steve for doing this addition party because without this, it would have been a total disappointment. The only thing that would have been better if Steve just came to our place and spun at the 613 but this was the second best I guess.
It was nice to see the trance heads grooving to the house tunes.
Carey, it was such a nice surprise to see you and Paulina and Sean Miller there for the whole event. You guys are amazing and the vibe increases 1000% when you are there.
So, to wrap this up, this was a party of things falling into place in the end. A little planning ahead and being in the right place at the right time was the trick to enjoy this party. Go with the flow, but not be oblivous to what is going around you.
I actually loved the whole thing and the way it worked out. |

| Others that I missed at the afterparty were Tristan and Justin. And Jon and Kevin. Hope you guys had a blast at Turboa. |

that dude asked me if i liked his shirt in the guest list line up lol.
um...so did anyone actually have to use their passes to get in to le afterparty (cos we didn't)? i thought the whole point of printing them up was so you would have to actually have one to get in. |

i forgot the guy's name too now... but i remebered it last night.
jenn was there in the d'luxe when i took that pic of lindsay. i didnt see jenn again after i left the d'luxe to go to the drink for some dirrrty manzone haus beats. |

that is Roger and he is da bomb!!! love him that was the best tshirt ever!!!
I had two passes but i opted to get the hell outta there guess i had enough!! i gave them to my girl and her bf and apparently they both just walked in too... no regrets cuz even tho the place was jammed i found my self spots here and there to dance and heard the entire set from beginning to end :) |

in pricks! LOL...VJs are playing Lush on Nov 26th when I'll be home for my bday. I was planning on coming to Footwork after Republik to chill with them, but it's a night to catch up with my TO boys, so Lush is out of the question. |
