hate to admit it, but it's true.
i heard that he doesnt look at game tapes, films on his opponents, or photo strips of the defense during the game. |
I think he's color blind too cuz he seems to always be throwing to the other team. |

Vince Young is nothing more than a WR in the NFL... boy can't throw the ball... I mean, I thought Mike Vick had an amazing arm, and it's got him in the NFL... all he does is run... if you want that, I guess Vince is your man, but he won't be able to throw the ball. I don't see Vince Young as a QB in the NFL...
I think Matt Leinart is like a mix between Steve Young and Drew Bledsoe... I think he's going to be a great NFL QB... and the Texans would be silly not to take him and ditch that loser CARR! |

would Jordan have been successful if he didn't have Pippen by his side ?
would Pippen have been successul if he didn't have Jordan by his side ? |

Those are great questions...
I always liked Scottie better than MJ, just because I wanted to be the oddball who wasn't TOUTING MJ as the best... but, I think MJ would have been MJ regardless... I mean he succeded with guys like Longley, Kerr, Paxton, Kukoc, Cartwright, Harper... and so on... by his side... I mean I don't think those guys would be WELL-KNOWN if they weren't on the BULLS... but who knows... |

I lost respect as a person for Pippen after what he did to his team when Kukoc was chosen to do the last shot instead of him
that being said Pippen made Jordan work, yes |

I respected Pippen much more when he came to the Blazers and I saw him in person. He didn't win a championship but he was thisclose to doing so if not for the biggest choke in NBA history. But it was seeing his suffocating defense and his leadership that I was impressed with. He was one of the best defenders I've ever seen and this was after his heyday.
Those longs arms just poking away balls all game long... |

I stole this from the Chicago Times jus awhile ago:
As a writer who covered Pippen his entire NBA career, I can appreciate what this evening means to him. Last year, he retired with only two real regrets. He regrets that he did not ''step up'' the night of June 4, 2000, and parlay the 15-point lead his Portland Trail Blazers enjoyed with seven minutes to play and beat the Lakers in Game 7 of the Western finals. Then last year, he retired from the Bulls after injuries had limited him to playing just 23 games.
I think Paxson had more of an impact on the all around game. Kerr was more for shooting only. |

Vick always has had good arm power, but he doesn't make good decisions and with teams expecting him to run, his long scrambles will diminish. I would always take him first in any fantasy draft though, he has the most potential of any player in the league.
Young doesn't have much of a rep as a passer, and I understand why. Playing with Cedric Benson will do that to you. However, Young has won 2 games on his arm alone (including one against Ohio State, the #1 Defense in the country), and thats with a top notch running game (3rd in the nation). Young is also has the highest rating a QB in the country.
Right now, Houston (the current #1 pick) doesn't need a new QB. They do need an offensive lineman. However, I think they'll almost certainly take Reggie Bush, potentially a once in a lifetime talent.
I think Young will be taken as the top QB in the draft. He can throw, and he's not a wild runner like Vick. He's done more with less this year than Leinart who appeared shaky at times though he definitely has what it takes to get the job done. |

if i was one of those money greedy hungry executive football gms, i would take the risk by doing this :
trade my #1 pick (hopefully houston loses the rest of their games .. they probably will) to another team for a stockload of defenders / offensive lineman ( a 4 players for 1 draft pick trade) . i know there are some good offensive lineman on the market next year. as much as the houston texans did bad this year, i still keep capers . they are LAST in team defense ( and capers is a defensive wiz) , however, they are one of the last in defense time of possession, so that tells you something right ? don't blame it on the defense for its woes, but the offense is the problem giving up the ball too easily.
but i'm just one crazy d00d .. probably not going to happen .
as for the pippen-jordan scenario . i cant say much. jordan probably would have won at most 2 championships without pippen, and pippen probably at most 1. pippen was the one that saved jordan's butt on defensive duties by covering the better man on defense (although people keep on talking on and on that jordan had to guard the best guy, not true) , and jordan bailed out pippen when scottie had bad shooting nights (which he often had when the game was on the line) . jordan was the offense, and pippen was the defense.
and clearly best white pg for chicago was paxson (although we could be talking how jud buechler, bill wennington, and randy brown have 3 championship rings ) ... :wtf: |
