Ivanovic beats Sharapova in some Mickey Mouse tourney at Tokyo. Sharapova retired in the second set because she had to go make a commercial for some camera company. I forgot the name.

In the other semifinal Hingis beat Dementieva in two sets. She will most likely take this. Let's see what happens.

bump.

Who saw Sergio choke the big chicken yesterday, and let Predrag Harrington win the British Open. Harrington even double bogeyed 18, and still was able to get into a playoff 4 hole with Garcia.

They're replaying that on TV right now here, but I don't give a flying about golf.

Watching ESPN First Take and they just showed highlights of the High Heels 100m Dash held in Moscow. Funniest ever, 3" heels and only one girl fell :wtf:. I can barely walk around comfortably with 2" heels let alone run in 3" heels. I laughed :D

it's now official. Garnett to the Celtics for 7 players. :wtf:

Garnett to Minnesota for Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes, Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff, 2 first round picks, and cash.

as much as i can agree with everyone, and say this is a real BIG bust for the Celtics, this is a "short term" success for Boston. Now with Pierce, Allen, and Garnett, they have a legitimate shot at winning the the Eastern Conference the next 3 years at most. After 3, they're done. Out of these 3 years, if Boston does not make the Eastern Conference Finals at least 2 out of the 3 years, and make the Finals at least once, then this trade is a bust.

Boston has no bench either, compared to Toronto and even New Jersey.

If one of the 3 big names go down to injury, Boston will have a hard time winning games, esp. Garnett.

Well, this certainly makes Atlantic division very interesting.

I don't know where I stand on deals like this. On the one hand, Boston all but mortgaged the future it might have had, but at the same time, it may be worth it to bring a team out of the gutter, and may be more effective than all the prospects in the world. Moves like this never work in the NFL or even baseball, but in a game in which it only takes 2-3 great players to win a championship, and only 7 or so people on the team even matter, it's a much more plausible idea.

This wouldn't work in the West, but it could get Boston to the finals, and at that point, anything can happen. Thank God you guys didn't get Oden, too, or you might have a future, too :p

All i have to say is that now with Telfair, Green, and Gomes gone, the chances are more likely to see the combination of Allan Ray and Ray Allen on the floor at the same time. :wtf:
