In my opinion, to compare him to Bowie at 19 years old is a bit of a stretch. I couldn't be more depressed as a sports fan today but if I take an optimistic view of things, I think of it this way. This will make the Blazers worse. Much worse. They will be in the lottery again in which they can obtain yet another star player. Hopefully at SF. They have Aldridge to grow this year and be the center. Now Channing Frye is at PF. A severe kick in my belly no doubt. It's been very hard on me I guess because it's my one team that hasn't won in my memory and it's my home town. But what can I do? I still support my team. Nevermind what Lance or anyone says. I don't care. I still love me some Greg Oden. |

AND THEN THEY'LL GET ANOTHER HIGH DRAFT PICK RETARD. They aren't gonna win the championship next year anyway.
Add Oden, the next lottery pick, and Rudy Fernandez next year. Ok. That's an optimistic outlook. |

I know what you meant...it's just still a hilarious state of affairs when you consider the 'best case scenario' for a team that just got their franchise player to get even worse. |

Yeah absolutely hilarious! Severe injury to 19 old very good kid. One of the more likable players I've seen in a long time.
I'm sad and testy so be careful. |

I'm not laughing @ Oden. I'm laughing @ the fact that people are rooting for a horrible season, immediately after drafting "the best thing since sliced oatmeal." |

Who is rooting for a horrible season? Blazers were the one team that DIDN'T tank games at the end of the season. They were vying for more ping pong balls with Seattle and beat them near the last couple of games. That to me was the good karma that got the #1 pick. Saying they get a higher pick is just stating reality. Blazers aren't ready for contention, they just came off a year with the 6th worst record in the league. Not having Oden and subtracting Randolph sure isn't gonna magically make them a playoff contender. Don't get your point, sorry. |

I'm not saying that they deserve it, because I was thrilled to see the Celtics get screwed after what they did (well, that and the fact that they're from Boston). I'm just commenting on the humor in the fact that this
