I agree with eliminating Brees (for now), but Palmer and Manning are neck and neck. While Manning threw for thirty more yards than Palmer in the Colts' victory (at Cinci), Palmer completed more passes in fewer attempts. I still like Peyton for the MVP but Palmer shouldn't be discouted, especially with 5 games left to play.
I agree with your assessment of Johnson having a better year than #88, but imagine if Harrison wasn't constantly being double and triple teamed. The reason Wayne and to some extent, Dallas Clarke, are having such good years is because both safeties often rotate to Harrison's side, opening up the field for everyone else.
By the same token, I like L.T. but Shaun Alexander is the better running back right now. The 'Hawks back has more touchdowns, more total yards, a higher per carry average and almost a thirty yards per game advantage over L.T. The thing that impresses me most is Tomlinson's success relative to his age; in 2 years (when he is Alexander's age), I think hell be a better back than Alexander is now.

if we are going to give love to champ bailey, we also have to give love to deltha o'neal (from cincy) , since he leads the nfl's best team ( in term of # of interceptions) ... but it's still a headscratcher who got the better end of the champ bailey-clinton portis trade ...
and tough for san diego to choose either rivers or brees ... if they choose brees, they are almost set for a super bowl title .. just tweek the wr lineup with one more quality wideout (mccardell is up there with age .. they need another wideout .. possibly t.o. ??) .. if they go with rivers, possible risk of starting over again, or maybe go bust (aka ryan leaf ... :nervous: ) .. i don't think san diego wants to go back to those days ...

LT wants Brees there...so Rivers should start packing his bag.
As for Champ Bailey..he is a bit overrated..for as many plays as he makes he gets beat twice as mony...my opinion from watching him.
By the way isn't cricket more of an endurance sport..the matches go on for days right |

| My thoughts on Rose is that he should be inducted as a player, with an addendum or an infamous asterisk. That way, the things he did as a player are not forgotten, nor are his failings as a human. His lifetime ban should not be lifted. He should never manage or be associated with baseball again. |
