very happy that robert kovac is suspended from the next game, he is a brick wall in that defence, and i dunno about that coach playing his son all the time, that substitute that came on for him looked far more impressive

Great game, and I was quite proud of our boys, even if we didnt win. I thought we matched Brazil quite well and we were unlucky not to convert our chances. Is Viduka ever going to score for Australia? We really need our strikers to fire if we are going to progress in this World Cup.

Lucas Neill was solid as a rock last night. Very, very impressed with his performances in this world cup so far. Emerton, Culina and Bresciano had good games as well I think.

I can't believe how many chances we missed. Kewell had a couple of clear breaks, and he also missed that shot from right in front of an open goal. :( Bresciano came very close with that volley as well.

We were originally going to watch it at Star City casino but it was fvcking packed! The line was huge to get into the big sports bar, and the two pubs downstairs were chockas as well. I've never ever seen anywhere near that many people at the casino, especially on a Sunday night at 2am.

I ended up watching the game at the Agincourt Hotel in Central and the atmosphere was electric. It was a packed house and security/police had to shut the door and stop anymore coming because it was at (or probably over ;)) full capacity. It was great fun singing all the songs and chants.

* "You fat bastard! You fat bastard" - every time Ronaldo was on screen.

* "Guus! Guus! Guus! Guus! Guus! Guus!" - every time Guus Hiddink was on screen

* The tune from Bridge Over The River Kwai with an "AUSSIE!" thrown on the end

* Ole Ole Ole Ole Ausssiiiie! Aussiiieeee!

There was also a guy there with an aussie jersey who looked exactly like Bresciano :haha:

Yeah we get the "Footy Show" up here with Fatty and Sterlo, and while it may be Rugby, it's not like "Aussie Rules" has any claim to the name Football either :p The name rightly belongs to The World Game. ;)

Its easier said than done, he has so much pressure on him, i feel sorry for him lol.

Lol Paulie, Robert Kovac is the best looking player out of the whole Cro team, im shattered.:(

I'm so gutted. If there was any better time to beat Brazil it was then. Brazil won't win this World Cup.
Australia played well, and were very tight at their man, and Brazil were forced to attack differently. They did not give us a footballing lesson.

Really hurts me to see Kewell having a golden chance to equalise. And all those other chances. Gutted!

I was at Circular Quay last night.

in saying that though, u can sort of more so understand why aussie rules is called footy, where as im astounded at how rugby league can be called footy, all they do is throw the ball, and kick it oncce every 5 minutes.
