gah what the hell was guus thinking with kalac? that guy totally blew! and that ref really sucked no offence...why did emerton have to get sent off :(

Kalac normally is solid as a rock, and is 10 times the keeper schwarzer is. THe moment got to him...people telling him to go back to Croatia, get a en clue. Soccer is a team sport you lose as a team and you win as a team. Guus took a gamble, as kalac is more of a presence in the box but it didnt pay off. Luckily we got away with it. Now to beat the finnochios from Italy :D

I agree, form is paramount and at the moment he has all form

Paulie - be that as it may, this is a world class game, any mistake is a bad mistake and you know it man, its a tough call to make but kalac really slipped up with that save. Brilliant game played by the aussies, definately deserved to go through, rofl @ the 3 yellow cards. And how about that dude hand balling it not once but TWICE?
Paulie
Swarcher has to start next game no doubt BUT

Swarcher is out of form as well.

Goal against netherlands hes fault

Goal against Japan hes fault

2nd goal against brazil went straight thru him

We are struggling for a world class consistent keeper end of story.
PauLie_C
goal against japan - refferees fault

i agree though, schwarzer hasnt been great, but he hasnt copped any howlers like we copped 2day, i was nervous everytime kalac got near the ball

no emerton against italy either. may have to re shuffle the defence and play a back 4

neill & moore being the centre backs with chippers on the left and hopefully opovic is rite and he can play on the right

maybe also a good idea to start with bresciano, he always creates an impact when he is on the pitch, id consider dropping cahill and using him as an impact player as he seems to play better that way. alot of toygh calls to be made at the selection table.

One thing for certain is they must take it to italy, attack from the out set and try and unsettle there brick wall like defence.

kewell was offside when he scored the goal.. but I DONT CARE i think it makes up for some of the other decisions. 3 yellow cards for Simunic!!! hahahaha!!!

Paulie
Paulie C, japans goal stood, no free kick given. Swarcher howler. Either way were past that no point dwelling on it.

Lucas Neill, is a en collussus, best player for Australia and next captain for sure!

Will be interesting to see who he picks... Was suprised to see sterjovski start today, but did very well! Im sure king GUus has some suprises.

I think brescia is feeling the effects from his illness... I wouuld like to see us play with kewell on left and brescia on right, with grella culina and cahill central midfield. Aloisi and dukes to start, with moore neill and chipper as a back 3.

No Emerton for Italy will hurt, but you never what can happen in the Rd of 16!

Good on ya lads!

Kalac - Absolutely in useless.. Hope AC Milan didnt see that performace lol

The Ref - Well what can i say, i think we got the rough end of the stick again... Too many blatent errors in that for me and alot of people thought he'd be great. Anyone hear Craig Foster in post-match go off, funny !

I have a massive man crush on harry! that is all, stfu, bring on italy!
