she got where she was not only because of good marketing, but because she had a team of producers & writers who knew how to make catchy pop music that sold by the bucketload. oakenfold didn't have a team of tune selectors with him in the DJ booth telling him what to play. voila, flawed analogy

I wasn't making an analogy between Paul Oakenfold and Britney Spears, fool.

yes you were. you were implying that oakenfold didn't have to be talented in order to 'fly', since britney spears & ashlee simpson got famous without being so. that's an analogy

Oh ffs, could you people PLEASE stop using this line, it's the poorest argument ever invented! It's like saying you're not allowed to judge movies if you're not a director.

Yes, i actuallly disagree with you, i don't think you are entitled to judge a movie if you are not necessarly a director, but say a movie critic. Ofcourse you can have an opinion though. I mean, say you were a painter, how would you like your work to be judged by someone who has no knowledge about painting? Don't get me wrong, once again, you can have a personal opinion, you can like or dislike the person's painting or work, but you are not entitled to say "it's " simply because you don't like it.

Cheers TA!

Ko/Lute has no idea what he's talking about, and seems to know more about Britney Spears and Ashley Simpson then about Oakey, so, you are in the wrong forum buddy, especially with all the hate...take it to the hip-hop room.

Cheers!

What makes a movie critic more qualified to judge a movie than any other person?

He has a truly phenomenal haircut, though.

I'll agree insofar as to say yes his haircut (on its own) is really cool. However I think that haircut would better on someone like uh...me? Oakie needs short hair.

Knowledge and experience, the more you know about something, the better you are at appreaciating for its true value...

What a brilliant idea!

That should be a maxim for everything in life. Let's start with politics: You aren't allowed to vote unless you work for the government.

Howabout that?
