and how much experience do we need to be real "music critics"? are 7 years of listening to EDM and actively trying to understand the scene enough, including trying to produce and trying to dj? (or for example in Mr Mystery's case actually managing to produce something decent)

Sure... like EVERY other dj in the entire world he's made mistakes and while u may argue that he's paid enough to be perfect it's a sad fact that neither u, me or anyone is (yep it's true so some of us need to accept it :haha: )
I've seen comments saying this was the worst EM ever.... seriously comments like that make me laugh as I could name many others that rank below this.
What really gets my goat is the fact that every single Oakenfold tread seems to get hijacked by the Oakenfold haters who really have to get there point across and try to prove to everyone else that they are misguided to have any appreciation for the guy. |

how can you be so sure that if a person who critisizes Oakie doesnt know anything about him? I'm pretty sure that a majority of the people around here knows Oakie well and his importance for the EDM during the 90s.
Still you say that people who are not DJs aren't allowed to have an opinion. That is propably the dumbest thing I've read here.
Aren't we all here to rate different tunes, CDs, DJs etc?
Have you been to IMDB forum? People spit on every other movie. Does anyone ever say "hey if you cant direct a movie dont come and say what you think here". |
