hmm let's see... blacks, homosexuals, asians and sasha whores don't try and project their values upon all of society by moralizing laws ie: banning abortion, constitutionally banning gay marriage, denying federal funding for embryonic stem cell research, blue laws, etc etc etc |

my intention was to point out how ridiculous the religious argument against evolution is and to offer insight as to why religion is ultimately fallicious and why some people need faith while others can be perfectly happy without it |

It is everyone's right to have their one beliefs and I find it bad for everyone to go bashing others because they have a different view on things.
ps: most of christian society in the US is caucasian of European descent.
It may be reasonable to assume at least in part that they left Europe because of religious persecution which resulted in the US being what it is today. |

no. i just don't want religion integrated into our society so much. i realize the majority of americans are religious but they shouldn't push there ideas of morality on the entire country. |

but orbax also said earlier in the thread that he also found those books ridiculous...but that doesn't mean that religion as a whole necessarily is... |

lol every level of society tries to influence law in one way or the other, some of it good or bad. Don't go pointing fingers on so called believers blaming them for everything bad because they themselves don't all believe the same things. |

the believers have the choice of making themselves targets when they come out picking fights in this thread. this was actually intended to be a funny thread like the bible comics one, but some people took it upon themselves to have a serious friday afternoon debate as if the question of god's nature was going to be answered today, in this thread. |
