more like backup SG... the backup should be TJ!! Caldo should be starting... TJ is turning into mike james, and is costing us games!! |

Wow. This is a good deal for Toronto.
Jones was doing nothing for Toronto and Dixon can score. Loved his game when he was playing for the Wizards.
Though no trade solving the rebounding problem...
Ah well. Can't have everything. |

not a bad deal at all...though I doubt Dixon will get much playing time unless someone gets hurt.
It's too bad Jones didn't pan out...I really thought he'd surprise a lot of people here.
The only thing I don't like is that it buries Derrick Martin on the bench if they treat Dixon more as a PG than a SG. I want Martin to stay here to help bring along TJ and Calderon.
The real motivation behind the deal is $$$. Jones had three years and more money left on his contract comparted to Dixon's 2 years. I just hope it doesn't mean Martin is outta here. |

I think Martin is going to stick around as an assistant coach. He is one already anyways.
Mitchell and Colangelo knows the value of Martin as an influence in the team.
I don't think they'd be crazy to throw that away. |

Exactly about the money! Jones contract was to pay out like over $9 million in the next three years!
We all know that the Raps aren't going to win the championship this year...so its great to see them planning for a run in the upcoming years! |
