i didn't say HE was incredible, but his picks, ie caldo, CV, etc

ugh
mute79
and no, babdidn't make a mess of this team but was thrown into a mess...

VC already wanted out when babtook over, so he did what he had to do, start the rebuilding process...

Sorry, you said you didn't catch the Raptors game and went on to talk about Aruju.... most have misunderstood your post. The fact that you also said ALL of his players were, I guess was a bit exagerated as well.

mute79
well w/e, araujo still had a solid game, and him getting so many minutes means his game has improved a LOT, otherwise jerry sloan would never get him into the game in the first place...

anyways, back to raps game... good to see they got that win...

In eight games this year, he is below his career average in MPG, FG %, 3PT%, FT%, SPG, and TO's. He's shooting .278 from the field , with less than 3 pt's per game. Where exactly is this improvement you speak of?

I'm sure this is just a case of one of Utah's big men getting injured for one game, and having no one else but Rafael to fill the spot.

*edit - yes, Carlos Boozer is injured.
mute79
his career average means nothing... smitch was ordered to start him and give him minutes, even though araujo had no game at the time, so those numbers are skewed...

i'm talking about last night's game while guarding tim duncan, he never looked out of place, and put a lot of pressure on duncan... so much so that at one point duncan almost got t-d up for talking thrash at araujo for a hard foul...

all i'm saying is, the dude has improved a LOT, and utah seems like have gotten the better end of the deal... maybe he just needed more time to develop... w/e the case is, his game represents that of a solid C
EvilTree
You mean Araujo learned to play defence instead of constantly fouling? :p

PS: Every player has a good game once in a while. Great players get shutdown by poorer players from time to time.
mute79
well, duncan didn't have a bad game, he finished with

25pts, 12rb, 5blk

not a chance, aruajo has been rotting away on utah's bench all season. he's only seen floor time in 8 of utah's 47 games this year. i'm sorry dude, but one game does not warrant a claim that his overall game has improved. nor does it warrant a claim that utah got the better end of the deal...kris humphries, as mediocre as he's been, has given much more of a contribution to the raptors than aruajo has in utah.

and for the record, babdid make a mess. the guy had no idea what he was doing...it's one thing to make bad picks, but another thing when you don't know how to run the team. babclearly did not know how to execute the proper moves in running a succesful franchise.

wayne embry got the ball rolling on turning the franchise around via the jalen rose trade, collangelo picked up where he left off and not only made the right moves, but implemented the right business strategies to lay the proper groundwork for a succseful franchise in the making.

araujo only played 8 games cuz he spent a lot of time this season in the d-league, which has obviously helped his game... so he hasn't been rotting on utah's bench... sloan is under no pressure from his GM to play araujo, so giving him 20 minutes and the assignment on duncan, and araujo playing such a great game tells a lot

mute79
im not gonna say any more on this subject as its pointless... its easy to crap on araujo as we had the misfortune of seeing him play like for so long, but dude's game is different now...

better than humphries' anyways
