Calderon to the hawks for the 3rd pick?
It could happen. |

Not following college draft too closely. Who's worthy of a 3rd pick in this year's draft? (Kinda given that Oden and Durant will go 1, 2) |

Corey Brewer.
He's EXACTLY what the Raps need.

| TO guy |
Corey Brewer has tonnes of talent, but it seems like he's never got his head in the game. Makes a lot of stupid plays. I can see that all changing as a pro though. |

I personally think that'd be an extremely stupid move on Colangelo's part. Jose is comfortable playing back up (for now). That's a great 1-2 punch at that position that we have, and many other teams don't. To give him up for a 3rd pick, to acquire a guy that may or may not grow into a talented player is a gamble that's just not worth it. How many times has Jose pulled us back into the game after TJ's craptacular play?
If anything, I'd rather see Jose go for someone who's already making a name for himself and can immediately contribute to our team. |

I will boycott the Raps next season if they deal/package Calderon for a pick (that's not #1 or #2, lol).
Trading a proven talent who is still on the upswing of his career for an guy who's never played at the NBA level? not a bright move, IMHO. |

Keep in mind that the Raps have Roko Ukic sitting in Europe. He was one of the top rated PG's in the draft two years and has more potential coming into the NBA than Calderon did when they brought him over.
Anyways, whatever Colangelo does, I support it. The guy is a genious.
Also, my comment was made as more of a joke than anything...hence, the "it could happen". Way too pick up on that one guys! :p |

Also, have you been following the draft at all? This year has the potential to beat the year that Bosh et al. were drafted. The amount of talent is ridiculous. |

Well, Colangelo knows what he's doing, but you can still get a bunk in the drafts... like Olowankandi being picked first in 97 draft...
I like Ford/Calderon combo too much. And you can go too young in a team. Just look at Boston situation right now. Same with hawks and Charlotte.
I'd rather have Colangelo get a seasoned perimeter defender than risking on a rookie. (To be fair free agent market doesn't have this type of player available) |
