agree on the parker comment, guy was just clutch all game on both sides of the court. draining a three at the buzzer, key steals, forcing carter into bad shots, rebounds and free throws at the end of the game to seal the deal.

bosh was a monster in the 4th q as well.

all that being said, they were lucky to get a split in the first two games imo.

Agreed. If the Nets had a bit more depth, the experience of their key players would have carried them through.

The Raps are showing jitters. But if they do beat the Nets... the confidence boost will be high

Who was it that wanted to fire Mitchell???
He WOULD be the first ever Coach of the Year to be fired the same year...
Hopefully now we wont talk of firing such a good coach.

Not being able to watch the games here, i can only base my opinions
on the game reports and box scores on espn.com - which if you know how to interpret tell a lot.

First off, Bosh again showed just how good a player he is, and how great a player he can still become.
Not enough can be said about Parker. Scoring 26 pts on just 13 shots (i think) is AMAZING.
Let alone forcing VC into 8-24 shooting. It'll be tough for him to keep this stat line, but if he does even nearly as well, Raps are looking good.

But the Nets are not going to be beat easily.
Look for their Big 3 to have a HUGE Game 3...lets just hope TO can sneak out one win in NJ

What an Intense game!

The crowd atmosphere was amazing! It did get kind of annoying when EVERY single time Carter touched the ball everyone booed..but hey, what can you do? He truly is a hated man!

I wish I could go to every single game! The Fans are awesome!

Great game by Parker! Bosh started off a little slow but pulled it through when we needed him.

When Nachbar made that last 3 point attempt w/ like 10 seconds left and we were up by 3...I thought for sure that it was going to drop!! Holy crap.

Anyone else feel like bargnani was just taking up space?

Yeah, the time he took off to recover from surgery has obviously taken a toll on his game. He looked sluggish, and even the form on his shot was off.

I heard Mitchell on the Fan this morning, and he agreed that he still isn't back to his old form and that he needs to focus on the basics (defense, rebounding) and the offense 'will eventually come to him'.

Yeah, Kinda. He took some unnecessary shots. But still, he's still in recovering mode. Plus i'm sure he's a bit nervous being the rookie and all.

But I like what he did w/ Graham. At the beginning of the 2nd half, i think they played 10 seconds before Mitchell took Graham out.

After the game Mitchell said that he expects his playsers to give it 100% as soon as they step on the court, and if they aren't showing that...then they need to sit them out and put someone who is.

at least the pressure is right back on the Nets now. They've played well at home so hopefully the young Raps don't get too intimidated and use the momentum to their advantage.

Bargnani will be a factor later on in the series when he gets his legs. The thing that scares me is that Carter has played two relatively poor games and the games have still been close. Raps have their work cut out for them.

The Raps aren't making any kind of attempt to utilize the skillset that Bargnani posses. They're not running anything for him, they're not really looking for him. He looks like he's taking up space because he's not being actively involved in the offense.

Raps need to move the ball better, shoot the ball better, and free up some space for their star-to-be to start knockin' down some jimmies.

HELLO!

I'm still shocked at how some of you are being so hard on TJ Ford.

Give him a break. He's a legit #1 PG for a team which won 47 games and he's what, 22? Still got long ways to learn the game.

Some of you commented on Ford's body language when things are not going well. Yeah. He's young. Young ballers aren't as mature and have mentality of Nash or Kidd right off the bat.

Jose's got more years of playing pro ball, so he takes it a bit better. But he's got areas he needs to improve as well.

the one thing i gotta say is that the raps have one of the more stable PG tandems in the league. even though Ford is a B+ player, he has another B+ PG (Calderone) backing him up. someone who has solid international experience and is more of a team player (high Assist/TO ratio) that complements Ford's scoring mentality.
