I can't stand watching Kobe, Arenas and, to a lesser extent until he joining Denver, Iverson. Sure, they're *incredibly* talented players, but b-ball is a team game and watching 4 guys stand around while one guy runs the entire offense is not what I enjoy watching. |
This is why i've been a much bigger fan of NCAA basketball since Jordan retired |

| I'm not sure about NBA champs...aside from the continuing development of Bargnani, Bosh & Ford, the rest of the roster is probably already at its peak...guys like Nesterovic and Garbajosa are probably as good now as they will ever be. A lot of the team is locked up into long term contracts too, with the exception of Mo Pete and Calderon...so not even much room to bring in a marquee player. So the Raptors will continue to be a playoff team, but will they have the talent to challenge someone like Dallas? They really need to get some more rebounding, maybe Bargnani will improve in this area but he plays at the perimeter so that is difficult...If anyone can pull it off though its Colangelo, this team has turned around very quickly and I don't know how he managed to get more than a couple of balls for Araujo! |

I think we'll be just as good, or slightly better next season, especially since the team is built around Bargnani, Bosh and Ford. Next year those guys will be even better, which will in turn make the supporting cast around them even better. We don't need another marquee player; we need more guys like Dixon, Parker, Garbo, and potentially Jackson. Role players who have good Bball IQ. |

We need a role player who can rebound.
I'm not sold on Humphries and Graham be able to grab 6-7 rebounds per night on consistent basis.
But I love Raps guards... 6-8 assists per night for both of them. Crazy |

Here's a late Easter gift for all the Raptors fans here.
Today at 7PM, ESPN2 featured the Toronto Raptors on their 30-minute "NBA Stories" show. They took an in-depth look at how the team has changed, how Bosh developed into an all-star, with commentaries from local newspaper journalists, the players and of course, Sam Mitchell. There's a lot of behind the scenes commentary that's REALLY worth checking out. I'm gonna try getting it up on youtube.com in the next couple of days.

Special thanks to Dan from the Raptors Facebook Group. He posted this link.
edit If anyone wants to see a 8-minute preview of this show, its on NBA.com right now. Just click "NBA Broadband TV" in the top right corner and you should see a pic of Chris Bosh there. |

Interesting video.
Nothing that I don't know, but it's good to have a bit more insight into Colangelo's thinking. He's so high profile, but remains so low in terms of what he's thinking.
I'd hate to play poker with him |
