thanks Captain Obvious, but people were anxious to see those 2 more then him :) so especially after the 2nd tech. -up and the fact that Armin was late on the decks, there is absolutely nothing surprising in the fact that crowd was acting like that |

Ok woke up and time for my review on the night.
Left Kitchener with a crowd full and got to Derek's (darouge11) house to hear him spin a bit and get pumped up for the event. Was good seeing everyone there and enjoyed the 1.5 hours we chilled.
Got into koolhaus a little later than I wanted to (parking problems.....) and I wanted to catch more of Blake Jarrell's set since I had some good expectations from him listening to his recent sets. I found that his set was kinda dry and not really what I wanted to hear out of him, mixing was actually really impressive though and the guy's only like 22 years old so I give him credit for that - he's got a long way to go from here and will only get better.
I didn't like the fact at all that ppl were chanting for Armin and when he had tech problems ppl were yelling at him to get the off...thats ing retarded, no respect :mad: ******s.
When Armin came on I went to the front with a couple friends and it was disgustingly disturbing. I mean, downright ed. I dunno how ppl can get so ed up and just have no respect for the ppl around them. Took me like 15 min of popping elbows to get a good half foot radius around me. Other than that I really enjoyed Armins set, always a pleasure hearing him (I thought his set at dragonfly last summer was in intense!).
Reason for me attending: seeing markus schulz for the first time. I listened to several of his sets and knew I was in for a treat. Honestly, the party for me didnt start untill like after 5am. Ppl started clearing out, and he was putting out prog trance like it was going out of style the next day. ING KICKED ASS .... and when he dropped Karen Overton - Your loving arms (markus schulz & elevation intro mix) I just lost it and was just jumping around screaming "THIS IS MY SONG THIS IS MY SONG" LOL...good times!
Met so many ppl, danced it up with the armada girls (damn you girls can move, and look good while doing it too :D ).
Overall the night was really awesome, haven't had a good time like that in koolhaus in a long time! |
