ok so here is a bit of late reveiw... i'l keep it brief.
Lets get the bad part out of the right off the bat. As aboveNbeyond already mentioned i did not get stamped entering the orange room to use the washroom. To be honest i didnt even know we had to be stamped and i kinda just walked through. Bad mistake, the bouncer would not let me back in the Koolhaus even after showing him my ticket stub and haggling for 20min. Still ended up paying $25 to get back in. Complete BS! Whatever i didnt let that ruin my night and to be honest it was SOOO worth it. Money comes and goes..
Armin Killled it. I think he played better than Markus but maybe im just biased towards him.
First time seeing Markus. was very impressed. Lots of energy. Dropped bomb after bomb
To summarize: Perfect post exam event to kick off the summer, danced for 8 hours straight, Stayed for the encore, walked out to the blissful rays of the sun and couldnt feel more SATISFIED!
ps. Did anyone notice Armin doing an excessive amount of the "jesus pose" i dont mind it once in a while but he looked like he was permanently holding his hand up. The fame must be getting to him.
pss. really got a mixed vibe from some of the TA's last night, met a few new people and was pleasantly embraced in good greetings (you know who you are). While other familiar faces were just not as warm.
All in all INSANE NIGHT, not easily forgotten.

I was pleasantly surprised by the crowd last night. Compared to Ultraspin (which in my opinion was the worst crowd ever) I personally didn't feel people were pushing and shoving as much as they usually do in the guv main room. I made myself a lil bit of room to dance a few times and for once people respected it which is very contrary to a lot of the reviews here. Came in and heard a bit of BJ's set and wasn't too impressed...I also was expecting a WOW experience given so many rave reviews for him...it's really all about expectations now with these parties and I guess I would say I set my expectations very low for this party given that the bigger events always attract the most annoying crowds these days.
Armin delivered as always but of course had enough of his usual fluff that only he can deliver...when he dropped Heaven Scent I think I was in heaven...haven't smiled that much ear to ear for the longest time!! Children also was incredible since that was my first time hearing it in a club.
Overall an 8/10 night. It'll never compare to my first night at dragonfly hearing his set from start to finish.
As usual I turned into a pumpkin around 5ish so I didn't get to hear Marcus. Next time for sure! |

hehe let the man be! I think that's just his own way of enjoying the night:)
and don't worry, not everyone is friendly when you meet them first in a club, some just need the attitude to keep the weirdos away (which works!) but give a weird vibe to normal peeps |

It was not bad... Way too crowded though...
Saw a bunch of TA's, but I'm quiet...
Armin was awesome, a lot of sketchbags, they were out in full force...

Definitely a night I won't remember! Loved Markus Schulz. Loved the energy he brought. Armin crowd was quite packed so remained off the dancefloor for most of the time Armin was spinning.
Was my first time meeting up with TAs and enjoyed the experience. Won't be my last :)
Shout outs to Lexxwolfen, PartEgurl, AJ, Barrie, Yohan[sorry if I misspelled your name] and a few others that I don't remember names off of the top of my head. Hope to see you all again. I had a fun night |
