.....Marcus mixing in here and there little hints of 'When The Rush Comes' all night? Must have been 3-4 times at least! Then finally drops it right near the end? Still teasing it in over like 2-3 minutes. Another wicked classic track that's nice to hear somebody else spin.
Also, I laughed so hard seeing the sun up in full force, security staff paired off leaning on each other/heads together and exhausted and Marcus still going strong for another 2 hours. Stellar effort on his part. He said that he hadn't had this much fun at a party in a long time. :gsmile:

had an amazing night!
heres my bit:
got there around 9:30-10 from Buffalo,NY. Very few people then, it was funny seeing those guys outside trying to sell tickets for $65 at first. they were buying in for $20!
heard moby being played inside, walked in and was already freakin excited. there was enough room in there to give a driving test. lines outside was short too, so got in real quick.
blake's set was really good, i didnt expect much from him, but loved it. got my legs moving by 12. he did well inspite of the power outages! respect for not being disapppointed when ppl started shouting armin's name.
i looked around realizing that i couldnt move, and the place was freaking packed! the moment armin started playing, the crowd went mad! and i went madder. i really didnt think ppl were pushy/rude/annoying or anything, i was having fun and didnt care about ppl bumping into me.
i was a lil' upset that Armin didnt play some of the songs i expected him to play : serenity, shivers, gypsy...
but was extremely ecstatic that he saw me and took the paper i was trying to give for hours! and he actually played it!!! i asked for 'Love you more', but i guess he didnt do it just because i requested or anything..nevertheless, that got me wild!! plus armin jumping and doing the 'jesus' (or is it a 'bird', or a 'plane'!?!!)
i really appreciated him responding to the ppl..reading msgs on the phones and bits of paper.
he killed it.
then came Marcus. whoa!!!! mad!!!!! the night lived on!
although the music rocked, i was disappointed with the lighting. the lasers wouldnt reach even half was down unlike in Guv. the should have had better visuals. also, was really upset that Marcus never responded to the crowd. i so wanted him to play 'Without You Near'. was trying to get him to read my phone, but he just wouldnt budge.
im not sure, but i think he played it, but without the vocals and no one sang, and then he changed it.
anyway, it was one hell of a night.stayed till the end. a lil over 12hrs!!! i enjoyed thoroughly as im sure many ppl did. didnt think the crowd was bad either. ppl shouldnt mind the pushing bit, it happens..shouldnt let it kill your vibe.
oh yeah, thanks to the guy with the marker and the 'Armin Only' board. was glad they let ppl go out and come back in! needed that nicotine!!

Hey, +1 for Buffalo, welcome.
Markus has a different style of interaction than Armin for sure. You can tell he was really feeling the vibe though. He was waving his hands and I saw him smile and laugh over near where I was a few times. He's a very technical mixer as far as most DJ's go and watching him the whole time I could see he was really in the mix and putting a lot of effort into it, which is the ultimate crowd feedback. nasty beats!

yeah you are right. i was in front the whole time during both armin and marcus's sets...marcus was really busy!!!! its just i was psyched to listen to 'without you near'. armin had comparetively more time respond. either way, i really enjoyed!
