Dr. DAS
Has anyone mentioned the possibility that he was snatched up by some opportunistic pedo and his body was dumped in that field?

Let's just see what the autopsy says about cause and time of death.

He could have been trying to head back home for all we know.

speaking of the game - saw a commercial for Call of Duty 4 the other day, I swear, I'd be terrified to play that, and I'm 25 in 2 months :nervous:

My guess was that you saw the commercial for the new Call of duty which comes out on Tuesday.

The thing with most war games is that it actually plays out what happened in real life. While yes it is violent, there is an element of history involved in most of these games. Don't know for sure how accurate COD 5 is since I haven't played it, but a lot of these games just display what has happened in the past and you play along with them.

The trailers always try and make the game more enticing then it actually is. You should play the game. You might get a thrill of shooting some Nazi's lol

is this some sort of military strategy game?

+1

Especially in the woods proper. Gets thick in there, the undergrowth and the clutter...during fall when the leaves drop - they cover everything.

Won't have any Nazi's. COD 4 was modern times, fight terrorists kinda thing...

Next one I think takes place in the middle east...

Can't wait...

and Stereoprincess...you play from the characters perspective. It's called a first person shooter...

yea yea. COD 4 & 5 strayed away from the classic WWII game. Buy yes, it should be interesting. I don't know where its set, but it kind of resembled the Vietnam war a bit in their videos. Either way though, should be fun!

Marg,

It's necessarily a strategy game. Your objectives are pretty much layed out of what you have to do. You are given objectives and you must complete them, but it is pretty closed game meaning you are given your gun and weapons, and you must get to this point by killing the enemy (aka Nazi's, terrorist, etc.)

From past games though, they do use actual operations that occurred in real life and have some similar scenarios from the actual war. So there is that element.

But it is mostly a first person shooter where you just shoot anyone who's an enemy.

there must have been something bad that happened here.

He was found within kilometers of his house in a field. seriously, he couldn't make it home if he was in trouble? home or anywhere else? it's not like it's completely isolated out there. an hours or so walk away from home. that's impossible that there wasn't foul play.

i ask what type of game it was because it obviously didn't teach him any survival skills if he just died like that.

there has to be more to this story.

yeah I didnt realise he was found in a field.... that is pretty weird...

btw the game is called a first person shooter... you just go around with a gun and try to eliminate the enemy, it has nothing to do with surivival. Plus even if it did, the kid was 15 and had good marks in school, I dont think he would be fooled into thinking he could surviving in the woods on his own due to a video game.

15 isnt that young... lots of people start drinking, smoking, smoking weed, having sex, etc. at that time.
