Fairmont was very good, the other DJ's were mostly boring.

nice to see you too man! for me: musically, one of the worst piknic I've been to in the last 6 years (except for the Ninja Tunes disasters)...the first few DJs were terrible, track selection was 4 years old and all over the place, most of the time too hard and not appropriate for such an event and for the time of the day they were playing, nobody dancing, people booing in my area, couple trainwrecks...just terrible...I can understand they are unexperienced and all...but a piknic gig was way out of their league for the moment. harsh maybe, but true...

Fairmont finally came on...he played some James Holden-like stuff but the kind of neo-trance electro that was hot 2-3 years ago...some of the stuff was fresh and surprising but overall very disapointing. Once again, I should have stuck to my 2009 rule: only go to piknic when the artists presented really interest me...which was not really the case today (aside from Gazebo, Fairmont as been meh the past couple years...). Felt good to be back at piknic though after 5-6 weeks off but it will feel even better to be back at the Calder!

edit: I only heard two DJs + Fairmont...so this review does not include Mr. Seb's set which I heard was better

i agree concerning the techno.fm crew. they did not handle the task very well.

mr seb was good though. he played some nice nu-disco/space-disco.

fairmont was true to himself at least, either you like or dont, i did.
brancatella

No. You can buy your ticket right on location. Don't worry. There's never more than 10 minutes of queue.
